Description:

The Opportunity

Reporting to the General Manager Business Development, Partnerships & Tenders, we have an exciting permanent opportunity for a hands-on and enthusiastic Project Manager to join our Commercial Team. We are not only seeking someone who naturally aligns with our culture but is also connected to contributing to improved outcomes for our clients.

The role will balance multiple projects concurrently. The successful applicant is able to hit the ground running and get up to speed quickly. The role will also be required to manage a number of projects within the Project Management Office. The role will also help to expand the PMO and embed its use within the business, liaising with internal stakeholders to coach them on processes, governance and templates, to bring more rigour and structure to the management of current and upcoming projects. Strong people as well as project management skills are essential.

About You

You will be proactive and comfortable engaging with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You will thrive in a busy environment with multiple competing priorities to manage. Previous experience in a project management role is essential.

Specific skills and experience required:

  • Extensive experience managing and delivering multiple projects, preferably in the community housing, private housing, construction, or for-purpose sectors.
  • Successful track record in dealing with senior executives and navigating complex stakeholder environments.
  • Extensive experience delivering quality service in a multi-client environment.
  • Well-developed organisational and/or project management skills including ability to manage conflicting priorities and high work volumes without affecting quality of service delivery.
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong influencing, negotiating, problem-solving skills and relationship management skills.
  • Well-developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong decision-making ability.
  • Ability to learn quickly and manage change within complex environments.
  • Proficient digital literacy skills including Microsoft products and project management tools, including Microsoft Project.
  • Persistent and considered approach to delivering outcomes in the face of delays, changes, or setbacks.
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, or related field and relevant discipline.
  • Excellent knowledge of project management methodologies and techniques with substantial experience in the planning and delivery of projects to agreed scope, time, and cost.
  • Project management qualification preferred.

  • Agree and comply with Child Safety policies and procedures
  • Provide a current driver’s license and willingness to travel across Housing Choices’ locations, if and as required.
