THE ROLE

The Project Officer in the Housing Development Branch will place a key role in providing support services to the project team who are focused on delivering the Government's agenda of increasing access to affordable housing for Victorians. The role will contribute to a variety of complex projects at the development and delivery phases, the procurement of contracted services and products, reporting and ongoing process improvement. The projects will be predominately in regional locations (Greater Bendigo, East or South Gippsland, Greater Geelong, Warrnambool and Shepparton).

Are You

  • Ideally experienced within the social housing sector with a proven track record of fast-tracked social infrastructure projects?
  • Able to conceptualise an idea and turn the idea into a deliverable that meet business needs?  
  • Open to new ideas; show initiative; proactive and self-starting; seizes opportunities and acts upon them? 
  • Strong in analytical thinking and comfortable dealing with high levels of complexity? 
  • Able to build and maintain effective relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders? 

COVID-19 VACCINATIONThe department strongly recommends (but does not mandate) that employees maintain their COVID-19 vaccination status in accordance with current ATAGI (Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation) advice, given their individual circumstances. As of June 2023, DFFH does not require evidence of COVID-19 vaccination status.
