Located in the heart of Melbourne's CBD, my client are a progressive & growth Accounting Firm on the look out for a talented Senior Accountant to join their team!


Position Overview:

As a Senior Accountant you will play a pivotal role in managing financial reporting, tax compliance, and providing strategic financial advice to our clients. This is a hands-on role requiring a deep understanding of accounting principles, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to mentor junior staff.


The Role:

  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee tax compliance and preparation of tax returns for clients.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, providing tailored advice to support their business growth.
  • Lead and supervise a team of onshore & offshore junior accountants, ensuring timely and accurate work.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support decision-making.
  • Provide insights on financial performance and recommend improvements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as their trusted advisor.
  • Stay current with changes in tax laws, accounting regulations, and industry trends.


About You:

  • CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Australian Public Practice Accounting firm
  • Proven experience in preparing financial statements, managing tax compliance, and delivering advisory services.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and team members.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
