Join our finance team as a Senior Financial Accountant and play a crucial role in shaping the financial landscape of HESTA. We are seeking an experienced professional to take charge of preparing monthly Fund and Trustee management accounts, ensuring accuracy through meticulous reconciliation of investment transactions and balances with custody reports. This role offers the chance to collaborate closely with our custodian and investment portfolio accounting team.

Your Day Will See You

  • Prepare Superannuation and Trustee Financial Statements in compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliation of the Fund's investments to custodian reports.
  • Assist with annual financial statements and other periodic regulatory reporting.
  • Contribute to regulatory disclosures as required.
  • Participate in enhancing the automation of financial reporting processes.

About You

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the superannuation industry.
  • Strong knowledge of investment accounting and familiarity with custodian reporting.
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply accounting standards.
  • Experience in implementing robust reconciliation processes and controls.
  • Sound financial reporting skills and exposure to regulatory reporting.
  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Business, or Commerce.
  • CPA/CA accreditation
