About The Team

Our Finance team are a vital partner in every aspect of our business, providing commercial insights to drive our success and influence everything we do. With presence in every department, we analyse performance, and deliver actionable insights that shape our strategic decisions.

About The Role

Reporting into the Financial Reporting & Governance team, the Trading Terms & Rebates Analyst supports key financial accounting activities to maintain the financial integrity of rebates, trading terms, and monthly reporting.

Please note that this role is a 12-month fixed-term parental leave contract.

You will also be responsible for

  • Completing financial accounting activities (including month end close activities) for Rebates as required
  • Ensuring procedures and systems are in place to verify rebates received from supplier are correctly recognised, collected and reported
  • Maintaining up to date document repository of vendor information and trading terms, including Supplier Master File
  • Providing reports to Merchandise, Treasury, Compliance and Government bodies to meet requirements
  • Delivering balance sheet reconciliations processes for Rebates in line with Coles Finance policies

About You And Your Skills

Our ideal candidate will have previous experience working in an accounting role with duties encompassing commercial income/rebates and management of trading terms or similar. Ideally, you will also have financial control experience within a large corporate or retail organisation.

You will also ideally have

  • Tertiary accounting qualification or similar
  • CA/CPA preferred but not essential
  • Trading terms and rebates experience preferred
