Four years ago in between lock downs we made the (some would say crazy) decision to launch the L&D Symposium in an industry that was brand new to our business. Why? We were confident in our rockstar team which continues to grow (yay). And also we were confident that regardless of industry, our unique invite only, out of the city event format, would deliver client-side industry leaders and their partners an unrivalled platform to connect, share and solve each other’s problems and drive their industry forward. Four years and 5 Symposiums later, we are part of the furniture within the L&D industry and the video below is why. A shout out to our amazing talent ;) and to all our partners for their ongoing support, which ensures this important event continues for ANZ's most senior L&D leaders. Can we suggest adding 'Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus' by the hiring team (aka Taylor Swift)? 🤔

What did Michael Kim, Head of HR JAPAC & SAMEA at Spotify, think of the HR Symposium 2024? "The HR Symposium is the first event I’ve been to where I feel like that we’ve had such rich conversations that you really build a strong relationship with people. It is the perfect balance of being in a conference room, listening to delegates and then getting out and getting fresh air, but still talking business, about our challenges, but we just did it in a different environment and setting, a little bit more casual, but it was another great opportunity to network." Kind words, sir! 😃 So, what are you waiting for? Applications for the HR Symposium 2025 are now open. Follow the link in the comments and #GoWhereTheLeadersAre. #HRSymposium #HumanResources

Congratulations to Mary Hogg, one of our incredible advisory board members for our #HRSymposium, and her team at Hilton for being recognised as one of the best places to work in Australia by the Great Place to Work® Institute for the second consecutive year! Mary and her team are doing some amazing work to foster a working environment that values diversity, inclusivity and flexibility, and we're so lucky to have her in our corner.
I’m thrilled to share that Hilton has once again been recognized by the Great Place To Work® Australia New Zealand Pty Ltd as one of Australia’s best companies to work for in 2024! For the second consecutive year, Hilton proudly ranks second among the top 50 companies with over 1,000 employees, and we’ve also been named again, with great PRIDE, the leading hospitality company to work for in Australia. Our success extends beyond Australia, with Hilton in New Zealand, Fiji, and Papua New Guinea earning their Great Place to Work certifications for the third consecutive year, for which we are equally humbled! In today’s ever-evolving workplace, we understand the importance of a diverse, inclusive, and flexible work environment. That’s why our commitment to cultivating a culture that supports both professional and personal growth is stronger than ever. This recognition is a testament to the outstanding culture we’ve built together at Hilton. While we celebrate this achievement, we remain dedicated to continuous improvement, driven by the valuable feedback from our team. Thank you to everyone whose passion and dedication make Hilton such an incredible place to work. This milestone wouldn’t be possible without you! #WeAreHilton #WeAreHospitality #GreatPlaceToWork #GPTW2024

The new "right to disconnect" law has begun taking effect in Australia this week despite widespread opposition from employers. The right to disconnect provisions enable employees to refuse out-of-hours contact from their employer unless that refusal is unreasonable. But what does the term reasonable mean? https://lnkd.in/gW_PEWaN This is just one of the many questions that we discussed at the HR Symposium earlier this year, as Erika Jeffs hosted a fantastic Huddle discussion exploring what the right to disconnect means for businesses in a world of flexible working. #HRSymposium #RightToDisconnect #GoWhereTheLeaderAre
