A forum for leading CEOs to engage with the Australian and Indian governments to grow bilateral trade and investment.

About us

The Australia-India CEO Forum was established by the Australian and Indian Prime Ministers to tap into the experience and expertise of leading CEOs to grow bilateral trade and investment for both countries. The CEO Forum meets annually to advise the governments on ways to elevate business and investment outcomes through policy changes. Throughout the year, the CEO Forum also participates in events and activities initiated by both governments that are crucial to enhancing the relationship and driving outcomes in priority sectors identified by both nations. While the CEO Forum has been active since 2012, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a revitalised Forum in Mumbai in 2023 to create a contemporary mechanism for CEOs to make recommendations to both governments to meet the ambitions of the Australia India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and the Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement (ECTA) which entered into force in December 2022. The Forum’s recommendations to the Indian and Australian Government are led by working groups that meet between the formal CEO Forum meetings.
