To help close the digital divide this summer, MobileMuster is calling on Australians with an unused phone to rehome it with not-for-profit, The Reconnect Project. The Reconnect Project is a Sydney-based not-for-profit that repairs people’s unwanted tech and donates it to people who need it most, like refugees, domestic violence victims/survivors, or those experiencing homelessness. If they receive a phone that cannot be rehomed, it is recycled through MobileMuster. We have donated $10,000 to this wonderful organisation for December, and are calling on all Australian's to donate their old tech to The Reconnect Project, and help those in need. It's Planet Ark's National Recycling Week this week! That means its time to go through your drawers, cupboards and shelves, dig out those old mobile phones, and recycle them at your nearest drop-off point. We're hoping this will be our biggest collection year yet, but we need your help. Muster up those old mobile phones today and get them to a collection point this recycling week. This can be any local Optus, Telstra, or Vodafone store, or post it back free with Auspost. To help spread the word of mobile phone recycling this year, we've partnered with some of Australia's biggest influencers for National Recycling Week, to reach younger audiences with our recycling message. We've partnered up with Bridey Drake, Sam Fricker, Elly Awesome and the Fairbairn brothers - if you don't know those names, check out our news story below for links to their profiles and more information about our campaign efforts. https://lnkd.in/g5-t8R3f

🎉 A Major Milestone at DV Safe Phone 🎉 Today, with full hearts, we proudly celebrate sending out our 10,000th phone to a victim of domestic violence. Each phone represents safety, a lifeline, and hope for a better tomorrow. We couldn’t have done it without the incredible support of our community, volunteers, and donors who believe in this mission as much as we do. 💜 But there’s even more to celebrate. Today, the LNP has committed to providing $1M in funding over the next four years if elected—an investment in the future of DV Safe Phone and the countless lives we aim to protect. This funding would allow us to expand, reach more victims, and ensure that no one is left without the critical support they need. We are deeply humbled by this milestone and excited for what’s ahead. Together, we are changing lives, one phone at a time. 📱✨ #DVSafePhone #Milestone #10kPhones #Hope #Support #EndDomesticViolence #LNP #Safety
