Last semester, 80 RMIT Impact Academy students tackled a real-world challenge from UNIQLO Australia, developing innovative ideas to enhance the in-store and e-commerce experience. Over 8–9 weeks, students collaborated, problem-solved, and pitched their ideas to UNIQLO’s E-Commerce team, gaining invaluable industry experience along the way. "It was very impressive to see ideas that incorporated technology such as AR and sustainability, into the strategies," said Taku Yonekura, E-Commerce Manager at UNIQLO Australia. A huge thank you to UNIQLO Australia for their partnership. We’re excited to continue this collaboration in 2025, and may there be more exciting work ahead this semester. The RMIT Centre for Cyber Security Research and Innovation (CCSRI) is expanding its impactful cyber ambassador and cyber bootcamp training programs into Cambodia in 2025, focusing on enhancing cyber resilience in critical infrastructure services. This initiative builds on the Centre's work in Vietnam where they have been delivering the program since 2023 supported by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade through their Cyber and Critical Technology (CCTCP) Program. Building on the successful programs in Vietnam, an exciting addition to this phase is the Women’s Leadership stream, which focuses on leadership, digital maturity, and cybersecurity for mid-career women in the cyber and digital transformation sectors. This initiative aims to provide targeted support, mentorship, and leadership opportunities for Vietnamese women, striving to close the gender gap and empower women in tech. CCSRI will collaborate closely with RMIT University Vietnam and Vietnam Information Security Association - VNISA, who have been instrumental in earlier training phases, to continue delivering impactful training in Vietnam. They are excited to forge strong partnerships in the Cambodia region, and thank Australia's Ambassador for Cyber Affairs and Critical Technology, Brendan Dowling and the Australian Embassy for their continued support. We look forward to the contributing to an improved cyber resilience in the communities we serve.
