With Australian international borders now open to the world and no quarantine on return to Australia, it's time to go on that overseas trip!
Australian citizens and permanent residents must have proof of vaccination to exit Australia. If you are vaccinated, you must present your COVID-19 vaccination certificate to the airline staff when checking-in for your travel. You can get your International COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate (ICVC) from the MyGov portal. You will also need to present your proof of vaccination when you check-in for your flight to or from Australia.
Here is a list of destinations that are open for Australians to visit and the entry requirements.
Fiji offers quarantine-free travel to fully vaccinated visitors that arrive into Fiji by air from Australia.
You will need to take mandatory RT-PCR test when you arrive at your CFC-certified resort and two days after your arrival (day of arrival is considered day 0). Your Fiji hotel of choice can facilitate this on their premises but factor this into your overall trip cost. With this 2-day timeframe, you can still enjoy all the facilities at your resort, transit to your CFC-certified resort on another island, or go on a daytrip tour, as long as you’ve engaged CFC approved and certified tourism operators throughout.
Care Fiji Commitment (CFC), a WHO-approved standard of best-practice health and safety measures for travel in a post-COVID world. The CFC provides you with the reassurance that the only people you interact with on your travels will be vaccinated.

The Swiss version is readily available to foreign visitors who have been inoculated with an accredited vaccine, and all the vaccines that have been administered in Australia qualify. Because the Swiss COVID certificate is compatible with the EUDCC, and that opens the door to free travel around the EU and the Schengen area countries as well as third countries connected with the EU gateway, for example North Macedonia and Turkey.
It is recommended to download the Re-open EU app. It offers essential information on borders, available means of transport, travel restrictions, public health and safety measures such as physical distancing or wearing of face masks, as well as other practical information for travellers. You can use the travel planner to plan your travels safely between EU countries.
