Despite the slightly tired looking exterior, this is an excellent choice if you want a hotel in Cambridge, with parking, and walking distance to the city centre. Our room was on the ground floor but facing the rear and was very peaceful. The room is quite small but everything worked, it was exceptionally clean and comfortable, and the shower water pressure was fantastic. Breakfast, included in our package, was very very good. Plenty of choice and the cooked food was served on piping hot plates. Best of all, Jackie and Jan, the two wonderful ladies who served us. Actually they did more than serve, they made our breakfast memorable and warm. I hope these two ladies are well regarded by the hotel management, as we really want to return based upon their personal and very welcoming characters. Lovely, lovely ladies. In case you didn’t realise, we thoroughly recommend this hotel.

The reception insisted I have not paid the room and she charged my debit card. Later on she realized she made a mistake when I showed her the payment record (to Trip.com) and then she refunded to me. Very poor check in experience

It is actually a family hotel, but the room is very big and decorated in a very typical English style. I like it very much. It is about 10 minutes away from Punting and 15 minutes' walk from Cambridge. The breakfast is also a very typical English breakfast.

First of all, there is no front desk at this hotel. I rang the doorbell and waited for a while before someone came to open the door and give me the key. The room was good overall, with basically all the facilities, but the shower head couldn't be removed, which was annoying, and the toilet was quite small. It's not far from Cambridge University, so the location is OK. Breakfast is downstairs, with dry goods such as corn flakes on the table, and a menu, so you can ask the waiter to order cooked food.

1. Although the facilities are a bit old, the layout is very warm. 2. The staff are friendly and even fold the customers' clothes neatly. 3. The breakfast is good and very English. 4. The location is good and very close to Cambridge Boating Point. 5. Free parking. In short, it is very cost-effective.

The room looked OK, but it was underground, and although the windows could be opened, they were full of cobwebs, and the environment after opening was a bit dirty (so it was almost like there was no window), and the air quality was poor. Then it was the kind of family hotel

The hotel front desk only opens at 3pm to check in. I went to the hotel at 2pm but couldn't get in. I rang the doorbell and was told that it only opens at 3pm. I had to wait for an hour. The hotel is a small villa. The breakfast is very good and the quantity is large. I saw foreigners at breakfast.

Bad: There are a lot of flies when you enter the room. You can't kill them all. You have to open the window to let them fly out. The room is very shabby, with spider webs on the windows. Don't look closely! There is no air conditioning at night. It happened to be summer and we were arranged on the top floor, so it was very hot. The children couldn't sleep under the quilt. They didn't sleep well that night. The staff got off work at 10 o'clock in the evening, so there was no one to help. It is best to ask for a fan when checking in. Good: Convenient transportation, the bus stop is opposite the door, and it takes 10 minutes to drive to the city. There is a supermarket not far across the road, and there are restaurants around. In addition, a super good thing is his breakfast, which is a freshly made traditional English breakfast, which is relatively authentic, and the taste is also suitable for us Cantonese people! There is also a Hong Kong chef in the kitchen, who helped us with the luggage storage!

Overall, the accommodation was pretty good. I stayed for one night for the convenience of visiting Cambridge. The hotel is very close to the boating place, which is very convenient. The hotel facilities are a bit old, the flush toilet doesn't work very well, and the bathroom fan is too loud, but everything else is fine. The room is clean and the breakfast is good. There are cold food on site, and you can also order some hot food on site, such as bacon, sausage, bread, omelettes, etc.

The hotel is small and exquisite. The location is excellent. It is a 15-minute walk from Cambridge University and a 10-minute walk from Cam River. There are supermarkets, bars and local specialty restaurants around. The service attitude is warm and the breakfast is very delicious.

It is the best experience to have breakfast here, the service and scenery are first-class, and the food is rich. Just a few steps away is the River Cam. Will stay again next time.

There is a free parking lot behind the hotel. The front desk is friendly and the breakfast is rich. Cambridge is about a 20-minute walk away. The shower room in the hotel bathroom is a bit blocked and there is no socket at the bedside of the room

When booking the room, it was written that the reception was before 22:00, but when we arrived at 21:10, there was no one at the front desk, so we had to walk another 15 minutes to another place to check in, which added to the fatigue of the journey. 😩 And I couldn’t understand the Indian and Pakistani English on the phone. In fact, I could have sent an email to inform them.

There is a small yard behind the hotel where you can park for free, which is better. The bathroom is relatively large, but the room is small. Breakfast is better, but the same price for children seems to be 12.5 pounds.
