Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum
DDr BPTuol Sleng is an absolute "must visit" if you are ever in Phnom Penh. $5 entrance fee. It's a testament to what happens when we allow politics and anger to overtake our humanity. Get there right at 8am when it opens to have the place to yourself - it's a very spooky feeling. Once the tour groups and school students start rolling in after 8:30, with the noise, running around etc. it loses some of its effect.

Mount Phnom
喜喜欢猫的虎Wat Phnom, also known as Wat Phnom, is a relatively small mountain. It is the highest point of Phnom Penh and the birthplace of Phnom Penh. According to legend, a woman named "Ben" drifted here along the Mekong River due to a flood. She picked up a Buddha statue and worshipped it on the hill. Later, a temple was built here. The temple was crowded with believers and pilgrims, and gradually developed into a prosperous town. It was named "Bai Nang Ben", which means "Mountain of Lady Ben". The local overseas Chinese translated it as "Phnom Penh". Wat Phnom is about 100 meters high. There is a statue of Lady Ben on the top of the tower. It is one of the symbols of Phnom Penh.
