Hanz Sofia Hotel Grand World Reviews

We booked a twin room but there were only rooms with double beds. The hotel offered to cancel the reservation or stay with what they had. The room was smoky. The location is very convenient, there is a bus station and Venice River nearby. 

The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. The location is great, close to the airport shuttle, water taxi station, and the Teddy Bear Museum. The shower gel has a rather strange smell, and the hotel floor gets a bit sticky when your feet are wet.

Good place to stay.

I had a conflict with this hotel, I didn’t stay there and my money was not refunded. When I tried to report this to trip.com service team and they contacted the manager, the manager made up some details of our conflict, lied to trip.com that I “shouted loudly and scolded the staff”, which is absolute nonsense. The thing is the receptionist who is the only staff member left the hotel, while i was waiting for him to give me motorbike for rent, which has been agreed before. He didn’t say a word to me, he just disappeared. Later , when I contacted the hotel by number from their business card, the other person has told me, that the receptionist is her husband and he went to another hotel to help other guests check in. They have several hotels and don’t have staff, so the receptionist guy does shuttle runs between hotels. Just for the note, the description of the hotel says 24 hours front desk. Empty front desk. The biggest problem is that the manager, the wife of the receptionist, has told trip.com that I was being impolite, because I made my decision to not stay at the hotel, where I would constantly need to wait for the service (due to their problems of staff shortage). And she lied, said I was yelling at staff. Which staff, I don’t know. The guy, who btw doesn’t even speak English, was not there. How could I yell to anyone, if I was all alone at the lobby waiting for the receptionist. And when I realized, this hotel is not where I would be comfortable, I cancelled the booking and I told the manager that I did so. And left the key. I wouldn’t think I won’t be able to get my money back. The manager is a liar. And they didn’t give me refund.

The location of the hotel is very good. It is near the station and the Grand Word. It is within walking distance. The hardware facilities are acceptable. Except for the food (liquid form) suspected to be left by the previous tenant near the table, which caused ants on the bed/table. The moving route and the cleaning of the bathtub in the room were not thorough enough. There were no other major problems.

Beautiful hotel, complete facilities, very easy to travel, the reception staff are lovely and friendly to foreigners, easy to talk to, highly recommended.

Booked a special room with a bathtub. Was moved to a normal room. The room was not as expected. Many bathroom fixtures were damaged. Not recommended to book.

The hotel is located near the parking lot. Near vin safari and vin wonders 😉😉😉
