We stayed with the kids and enjoyed this stay. The staff was very polite and helpful. The family was spacious. The pool was in excellent condition. The breakfast was great, and the kids loved it. There are few parking spaces next to the hotel, and overflow parking is within short walking distance.

We had evening meal in the Bistro where we found the staff as always friendly and helpful. They couldn’t do enough for us. The food was outstanding and we enjoyed it very much. We are regular visitors and enjoy the place. It was quite busy but there was no waiting for service.

Recently stayed at the Washington central on a work Christmas party evening the hotel, food, service and venue along with room and breakfast was fantastic . The staff are very attentive and friendly. What made the evening extra special was the exceptional customer service provided by the hotel receptionist Shauna Thomas she went over and above to ensure my evening was not spoilt I had a long journey to this Christmas event and about half way I realised I had forgotten to pack my party dress! A few phone calls to shops and Shauna at the hotel this amazing girl went out on an evening or torrential rain and winds and purchased a dress for me out of her own money with very short notice and it was waiting for me on arrival what an incredible act of kindness that has made my evening and stay there even more unforgettable Thank you Shauna you really are a star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🥂🍾 And a big thank you to all staff what an amazing night. X

My family and I were there for their 'Sunday Carvery'. On entering the hotel we were told that the meal was being served in their function room on the second floor so we started to make our way up the staircase and we couldn't help noticing how dirty the stair carpet was, I don't think it had been cleaned for a long time. Once we were seated we were told to make our way to the carvery which was set out in the middle of the function room. The dinner plates were piled up at the end of the table and were cold which wasn't great. The person carving the meat was using a latex type glove on his left hand which came into contact with all of the meats that he was serving as he was having to hold the joints whilst he carved them, it would have been more hygienic if he had used a proper carving knife & fork. Then when it came to adding the vegetables the young girl just pilled everything on top of the meat as the plates were far too small. The food itself was very tasty along with the dessert that followed. Not sure if we would rush back for another carvery meal in the future, but we would possibly look to dine in their restaurant the next time we are in Workington.

Lovely venue and handy location. There is a Nice/varied menu. The Staff were very accommodating as we were a large group, made sure everyone was looked after. Everyone enjoyed their food. Generous portion sizes. Pretty much all came out together as well which was impressive. Would definitely recommend and return when back in area.
