From Melbourne to the Great Ocean Road, if you don't want to return to the original road, you can choose to return along the inland A1 highway, and the A1 highway from Warrnambool to Geelong passes through Clark. There are very few tourists in this town. On the north side of the town is the large Lake Colac. The locals are used to walking, jogging and cycling by the lake.

There is a stunning place just an hour drive from Las Vegas that doesn't get too many visitors! I got there only because my local friends recommended this place to me.
Valley of fire is an absolutely beautiful, gorgeous, fantastic place! It is an absolute must when traveling to Nevada.
Valley of fire is a massive area with lots of short hikes. There are no stores or restaurants, so make sure you're bringing all the water and snacks you might need with you. This area gets extremely hot during summertime, so make sure your vehicle suits the weather in case you're planning on visiting during summer.
The views are absolutely jaw-dropping level and I cant wait to visit this place again!

4 Days Solo Adventure in Las Vegas and Beyond
#solotrip #100waysoftravel #holiday #usa #trip
Embarking on a four-day solo trip to Las Vegas, Hoover Dam, and the surrounding areas was an exhilarating experience filled with vibrant sights, rich history, and opportunities for exploration. With a rented car, I was able to navigate this dynamic region at my own pace, making for an unforgettable journey.
I set out for a day trip to the Hoover Dam, located just a short drive away from Las Vegas. The dam’s impressive architecture and its significance in American engineering were awe-inspiring.
Walking across the dam offered stunning views of the Colorado River and Lake Mead, making it a perfect spot for photography.
This solo trip to Las Vegas and its surrounding attractions was a remarkable experience that showcased the best of what the region has to offer, from the bustling Strip visiting malls and interesting hotels, to the serene beauty of Hoover Dam and got the A&W my favorite fast food meal.
It was a journey of self-discovery and adventure, one that I will cherish for years to come.

Amazing 🌈 Seven Magic Mountains Outside Las Vegas
#myhiddengems
"Seven Magic Mountains," located just outside Las Vegas, is a striking public art installation by Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone. This colorful display of seven towering stacks of boulders, painted in vibrant hues, stands out dramatically against the arid Nevada desert landscape. Each stack reaches up to 35 feet high, creating an impressive visual contrast with the natural surroundings.
The best times to visit are early morning or late afternoon, I went during the early morning, the lighting enhances the vivid colors and casts intriguing shadows. Excellent photo opportunities and a unique backdrop for artistic and personal reflection.
I simply loved it🤍 it is a must-see for art enthusiasts and casual visitors alike, offering a memorable experience that combines art, nature, and the profound beauty of the desert.
Location: Las Vegas, Nevada (S. Las Vegas Blvd.)
When to visit: Anytime during daylight hours

Las Vegas 🇺🇸 Beautiful rock formation at Red Rock Canyon!
#naturalbeauty #100waysoftravel
Red Rock Canyon, a national conservation area, lies approximately 15 miles west of the city.
Limestone from some 500 million years ago, sandstone from 250 million years ago, and the Aztec sandstone from 180 million years ago…colorful mountains in this area are spectacular.
The peaks of these mountains rise thousands of feet off the ground. Magnificent escapement makes Red Rock Canyon a popular spot for rock climbing.
It can be viewed from the Las Vegas strip and hosts three million visitors annually. There is something for everyone with plenty to do, including 26 hiking trails, scenic drives and climbing.
Nevada 🇺🇸 Hoover Dam + A&W
#travelanywhere #usatrip ##hooverdam
Where transformer shooting place.
Hoover Dam is a concrete arch-gravity dam in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River, on the border between the U.S. states of Nevada and Arizona.
Today the Hoover Dam controls the flooding of the Colorado River, irrigates to over 1,500,000 acres of land, and provides water to over 16,000,000 people. Lake Mead supports recreational activities and provides habitats to fish and wildlife. Power generated by the dam provides energy to power over 500,000 homes.
Before heading there, pass by the A&W for some nice root beer float!
Ingenuity of human achievement: Hoover Dam
Located about 1 hour drive south east of Las Vegas is Hoover Dam. Security is tight at Hoover Dam as there are security checkpoints when you enter the area and you are required to stop your vehicle for security checks.
The moment I saw this colossal structure, I was captivated by its engineering marvel. We parked the car at the carpark and got off to explore the dam. Walking along the dam and looking down its sides, I had trouble fathoming the enormity of the concrete walls. It’s a terribly high drop to the waters below and the ability of these concrete walls to hold back the entire expanse of Lake Mead is truly mind boggling.
Hoover Dam is truly an ingenuity of human achievement.

It’s on Fire 🔥
If you have only been on the look out for National Parks in the United States, maybe it is time to reconsider! Located about an hours drive from Las Vegas, Nevada's Valley of Fire State Park was truly a remarkable surprise during my trip to the States in December 24.
I had stumbled upon this place after looking at my friend's Instagram post while in Las Vegas. While it was not initially in my planned itinerary, I decided to squeeze it in anyway as the photos were amazing. Boy, I was not disappointed as the place was truly as depicted in my friend's photos. Valley of Fire - love this place
I loved getting out of Las Vegas for some lovely scenery. It’s about an hour away and it feels like a different world to vegas!
You can just drive through for a quick visit, or you can make a full day of it with some easy hiking. Sunset was a little challenging as the sun was easily getting blocked out at times and was very dark once completely down. I would advise forget sunset and make a great day of it instead!

Favourite day trip from Las Vegas
🔥 Valley of Fire is just one-hour drive from Las Vegas and is a worthy contender for a day trip out of Vegas.
Valley of Fire is Nevada’s oldest and largest state park. The park is located around 50 miles northeast of Las Vegas. It is a massive park filled with red rocks made from Aztec sandstone. Thus, it gives the illusion that the area is on fire and that is where the name came from.
Depending on weather conditions, you can plan a day hike of different available trails or just simple a drive through to see the famous attraction.
⚠️ Warning-it can get extremely hot in summer.

Definitely worth the hype to visit
🗿🪨Seven Magic Mountains is located approximately 10 miles south of the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and St. Rose Parkway in Henderson, Nevada. It is a public art installation by Swiss artist, Ugo Rondinone. It is made up of huge colorful neon boulders stacked in seven giant towers which soar over 30 feet above the Nevada Desert. According to the artist, the Seven Magic Mountains represent the meeting of artificial and natural, the passing highway traffic, and the surrounding mountains and lakes.

Park MGM is a restaurant belonging to a MGM-owned hotel. The reason for choosing it is... high value! The light green decoration is really fresh and elegant, it is very suitable for taking pictures! There is no such thing as a drunken movie in Las Vegas, but an elegant and romantic French garden. I ordered the sandwich croissant, which is super delicious. It means that the weight is too big and I can't finish it.
In the days of the United States, I basically eat hamburger sandwich steak every day, I want to change the taste! Finally chose the famous Mott 32. This Chinese restaurant is extremely high and is a peculiar urban industrial style, like walking in the neon nights of Chinatown in New York or Hong Kong. The dishes are also Cantonese-style Su-style Beijing-style, the price is... It is the price of the normal restaurant in China. The back door follows the US dollar. We ordered the most famous roast duck, the price is 108 knives... Of course, the taste is still quite good, basically guaranteed. The original taste has been improved a little bit, greatly comforting our Chinese stomach, and glanced at the kitchen all Chinese faces. If you come to Las Vegas, it is very recommended to experience it!
The northernmost hotel in Las Vegas, the tallest building in Las Vegas, has a tower of 1,150 feet. It is the tallest sightseeing tower in the United States. It is famous on the top of the tower. The world's highest HIGH ROLLER roller coaster, you can see the neon lights on the entire LV Avenue at night, guests staying here can enjoy free access to the sightseeing tower, the tourist fee is 20 dollars / person. The hotel does not have to check out, the room card will be given to the guest to commemorate. There are three entertainment projects at the top of the

If you are a Coca-Cola powder, you can't miss the cola flagship store in Las Vegas. The specialty products are dazzling, not just Coca-Cola drinks, but also clothing, accessories, toys, stationery. , tableware, home, everything, and all with Coca-Cola as the theme. Here you can also buy Coca-Cola bottles from different periods and Coca-Cola from different countries. You can also taste Coca-Cola from different flavors in 16 countries around the world. In my words, you can drink cola and drink it. There are also iconic white bears in the store that can line up for photos. There will be a lot of fun POSE
The sweet afternoon tea at the Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas Tea Lounge, with its unique city view and elegant hotel environment, has won the Forbes five-star luxury hotel three times, attracting countless netizens, and I am no exception~

A day exploring Nevada
#magicalxmastrip #nevada
A day exploring Nevada offers an incredible mix of adventure, natural beauty, and quirky charm—far from the glitz of Las Vegas. Start your morning at Valley of Fire State Park, just an hour from Vegas. Its stunning red sandstone formations and petroglyphs are a perfect backdrop for short hikes like the Fire Wave Trail. Don’t forget your camera—the fiery landscapes look like another planet!
Next, head to Pahranagat National Wildlife Refuge, a peaceful oasis in the desert. Stroll along the trails, spot wildlife like herons and ducks, or enjoy a picnic by the lake. The contrast of water and desert scenery is a refreshing surprise.
Continue your adventure with a stop in the quirky town of Rachel, located near the mysterious Area 51. Grab lunch at the iconic Little A’Le’Inn, filled with UFO-themed décor and stories of extraterrestrial sightings. Don’t miss the chance to snap a photo by the “Extraterrestrial Highway” sign.
As the afternoon winds down, explore the Ward Charcoal Ovens near Ely. These beehive-shaped structures once served as kilns for mining operations and now make for a fascinating historical site surrounded by scenic mountain views.
Finish your day at Great Basin National Park, where you can take a short evening hike or tour the amazing Lehman Caves. As night falls, the park’s designation as an International Dark Sky Park means you’ll experience some of the clearest stargazing in the country.
Nevada’s vast landscapes and hidden treasures promise a day full of unforgettable experiences.
Secret hike close to Las Vegas
I had a great time hiking the Historic Railroad Trail in Nevada. The trail is pretty easy and flat, which made for a relaxing day. The best part was walking through the old railroad tunnels—there are five in total, and they’re cool to explore. The views of Lake Mead along the way were stunning, especially with the desert landscape around it.
One tip: bring water, because there’s not much shade. It can get hot, especially in the summer. I also loved how quiet and peaceful it was; I hardly saw anyone else.
Overall, it was a great way to combine history, nature, and some light exercise. Definitely worth checking out!

Hoover Dam.
Hoover Dam is an important water conservancy project in the United States, located in the Black Canyon at the junction of Nevada and Arizona, across the Colorado River. Construction started in April 1931 and was completed in March 1936. Hoover Dam has become a famous tourist attraction, attracting a large number of tourists. Its unique aesthetic design and profound historical background make it an important symbol of American culture. The construction of the Hoover Dam not only reflected the engineering technology and innovation capabilities of the United States, but also witnessed the determination and wisdom of the U.S. government in the face of economic difficulties.
As a great project in American history, the Hoover Dam still plays an important role in the economic and social development of the United States.
