if you want to always from the city for beach escape , Westin Desaru Coast Is one of the best hotel. It’s resort near to the beach , breakfast was perfect in the morning . There is DIY roti Bakar available too. SPA is very luxury and relaxing according to them this is their second outlet for Marriot Spa. You may need to try once when you are here . Ofcos the price is not cheap tho. The beach is clean and safe to play by the beach. There is one beach club available too, you can order food and snack by the beach . There are on going renovation at the lawn area , they view might be affected during the stay. Tucked away in a corner right by the entrance to Westin Desaru resort, this lobby bar is a cosy space to grab a nice drink or a quick snack! There may not be a lot of seats here but guests can always take away their orders and sit in the large lobby itself, both are equally comfortable. I enjoyed a hot cup of cappuccino while gazing out at the rainy weather, it was such a mood. The atmosphere felt very tranquil too as it wasn’t very crowded and the interior was modern. As we visited during the Christmas season, there were festive decorations put up, including an incredibly tall Christmas tree! Price per Person - RM30-40 Rating - 5/5 I had such a pleasant time at Comma Cafe when I was on holiday in Desaru. I was just looking for a place to have a great coffee break and some good pastries and that's when I saw Comma Cafe. It is one of the hippest cafe in Desaru with such cute and retro looking interiors, abit of an old school American Diner vibe. This is also the place to be if you're looking for some simple cafe food and brunch. I had their iced dolce Asian latte and this is one coffee drink that you need to order. It's not too strong in its caffeine and it's sweet and milky. They have a good array of pastries such as fruit Danish, bombolinis, donuts, crossiants, etc. Their lemon cream cheese bombolini was a hit, soft and fluffy with a slight tarty lemon cream cheese. It wasn't too noisy in the cafe and I love that the server was engaging and recommended me the cafe's specialties. Comma Cafe is the place to be for a great coffee break, just amazing. #tripblazers

All rooms has Beach views. It’s a 3 mins walk to beach. The beach is nice, very clean and quiet. The swimming pool has alot of sand which is pretty normal since its just beside the beach but they do clean it daily. Staff was kind and helpful, all of our requests were properly and timely handled. There is a lot of dining options within 5-10 mins drive. Breakfast was average, simple food like bread, nasi lemak, nasi goreng, mee hoon goreng, porridge, noodles, egg stations and fruits which is sufficient for me. Spa was OK. Make reservation early. Cost RM190 for 60 mins for traditional massage.

Recently went for a road trip to desaru with my family for a weekend trip. It was a fun and relaxing trip. Besides the beach, we went on to multiple places such as Desaru Mini Zoo, Alpaca Farm, JDT Horse Carriage. It was overall an enjoyable trip with the family.

Probably one of the better resort in Desaru. Westin Desaru Coast had a nice warm front desk staff that process your check in smoothly. We arrived ahead of check in time, was told that once the rooms are ready, they will drop me a WhatsApp. While doing waiting around in the lobby for rooms to be ready, the staff came out with welcome drink, ice cream and balloons for everyone. Rooms were big in size, comes with a king size bed bigger than usual. Room is clean, toilet comes with a huge bathtub. They even provide lavender roll on to promote better sleep. Buffet breakfast spread was huge but do be early to avoid crowd. Overall a recommended stay for everyone.

We took a 3 day 2 night short trip to Desaru during the weekdays, and stayed at The Westin Desaru Coast Resort this time. I guess we chose the right week or days to travel in, seems like they’ve got low occupancy rate (probably lull period), we got upgraded to a sea view room instead of the garden view room. Room comes with a bathtub and a separate bath area. Room is cosy and spacious. PS: They do have basement parking available at the hotel, but it’s chargeable RM5 per night stay. You will need to validate your touch and go card upon check in. A short 2 days 1 night workcation at this hotel. It took us 1 hour to reach from Johor Senai International Airport. Taxi charges is about RM160 for 2 pax. Ambiance/Facilities - Well equipped & great hygiene. Highlights - The beach is just 5 minutes walkable distance from the hotel lobby. Beach facilities were shared among The Westin & Hard Rock Hotel. Impromptu weekend trip for my birthday was decided. Drive thru Johor Bahru then Kota Tinggi and took a ferry from Mersing Harbour Centre. First ever visit in this hidden gem Tioman Island resort named Tunamaya Beach Resort and enjoyed the quietness and beauty of the nature. Desaru Sand & Sandals Beach Resort is a beach resort in Kota Tinggi District, Johor, Malaysia. It is famous for its pristine beach beside the South China Sea. Sea food paradise. Recently also became a popular camping spot. This beach is so worthy to go. The beach is so beautiful and nice view. You can do family outing or friend outing. The only downside is that the sea water is greyish. Bring your own food for picnic there.
