Zhengyang Gate is an important building of Beijing's historical culture

'Zhengyang Gate', commonly known as: Qianmen, originally named: Lizheng Gate, is the south gate of Beijing's inner city during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and was built in the 17th year of Yongle of the Ming Dynasty (1419). Zhengyang Gate is one of the 'Nine Gates of the Capital' in old Beijing, integrating the city tower, arrow tower, and urn city into one, with a grand scale and tall shape, it is a complete ancient defensive architectural system. The only remaining city tower and arrow tower are the only complete city gates in Beijing. Zhengyang Gate has been destroyed and rebuilt many times from the Ming Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty. In 2014, the Beijing Folklore Museum was set up on the city tower.
