Travel during off-peak season—enjoy autumn in Gubei Water Town.

First of all, traveling during off-peak season is the basis for a pleasant autumn trip. We booked the Gubei Water Town Hotel in advance, with a room rate of over 700 (peak season price 3,888) per day, including breakfast for two and unlimited 24-hour access to the water town. We arrived at the hotel at around 5 pm on Tuesday. The first impression I got when I entered the lobby was that it was spacious and luxurious. There was not only a direct elevator to the second floor, but also two escalators and a wide staircase. The room we booked had a separate walk-out balcony facing the Simatai Great Wall. When night fell, the Great Wall was lit up with landscape lights, and the beautiful scenery was in full view. We quickly put down our backpacks and went downstairs to the water town to enjoy the night view. The night view of the water town is unique, with a sense of calmness and ease, and a sense of comfort and beauty! Strolling through the streets of the water town, looking at the Great Wall and mountains in the distance, and the flowing water and small bridges around us, we felt completely relaxed. In the evening, there were many "Great Wall Music Water Dance Shows" and "Drone Shows" in the water town. The next morning, we basked in the warm sunshine and entered the water town again, feeling like we were in a painting of autumn. The autumn here is breathtakingly beautiful, with green, red, and yellow leaves adorning the high houses and low walls, and the scenery is colorful; the winding water system runs through the water town, and small boats leisurely sail on the water; there are white stone bridges and green rivers nearby, and mountains and the Great Wall in the distance, with church brick towers embedded in between, and the beautiful scenery is everywhere. I highly recommend the hilltop church and Yongshun Dyehouse, which are great places to take photos and are worth visiting. There are not many tourists on weekdays, so you can enjoy the scenery and take great photos. The hotel room rate is super cost-effective, and the price reduction does not reduce the quantity.
