"Hotel VIC on the Harbour: A Unique Experience with Sea Views and Convenience" On this trip to Hong Kong, I chose Hotel VIC on the Harbour, part of the Accor Group. Overall, the experience had its highlights and shortcomings. The hotel's location is unbeatable. It's in Tsim Sha Tsui, very close to East Tsim Sha Tsui Station. It's super convenient for sightseeing, with many attractions like the Avenue of Stars and K11 Musea within walking distance. Ichiran Ramen is nearby, which is a dream come true for a foodie like me. As for the room, I initially booked a Superior Double Room on the 10th floor, which didn't have a sea view, only a view of the buildings. So, I paid extra to upgrade to a sea view room. I must say, the unbeatable corner sea view from the 19th floor and above lives up to its reputation. The view is expansive, with the beautiful Victoria Harbour in full view. It's bustling during the day and dazzling at night, making you feel relaxed and happy. However, the room is a bit small, and there's no bathtub, which is a bit disappointing. The breakfast is unique but not very diverse, and there's no fruit, which is a bit of a letdown. The toiletries are from Malin+Goetz, and they even provide a small bottle of body lotion, which is very thoughtful. But there's no free water or snacks in the room, only paid ones. Even the mineral water is Evian, costing 50 yuan a bottle, which doesn't seem very cost-effective. The check-in experience wasn't great. The lobby is small, the check-in process is slow, and there's no exclusive lane for members, so I had to wait in line for over half an hour. Also, there's no welcome fruit for members, only welcome snacks. But if you're not too concerned about room size or member benefits and are only looking for a great sea view and convenient location, with a budget of around 1,000 yuan, Hotel VIC on the Harbour is still a good choice. It can offer you a unique accommodation experience in Hong Kong.
