Mangshi, Yunnan, is a little-known city. The advantage of Mangshi is that it is not very commercialized, so you can experience the same Southeast Asian style without going abroad. The locals are warm and simple, making it a great city for slow-paced travel. Sunshine Mountain House is located in Manghuang Village, Mangshi, a traditional Dai village in Mangshi. 🏠The homestay is located in the highest part of the village, with a very wide view. Open the 🪟curtains and you can see the golden pagoda🗼, the silver pagoda, and the rolling mountains🏔️ in the distance. The public area of the homestay🏡 is very large, the beds in the homestay are very soft, and the hygiene is very clean. The courtyard and the hall are full of tropical plants, and the staghorn ferns are hung on the whole red brick wall of the hall. It's like walking into a small tropical plant museum. In winter❄️, the sun☀️ shines all over the hall from morning to night. You can drink coffee, bathe in the sun, look at the mountains in the distance, and enjoy the slow life. On the day we checked in, we happened to catch the Dai festival in the village and experienced the local ethnic culture up close. The owner of the homestay introduced us to many local Dai restaurants in the village. We chose one, Qianjia Restaurant, which is said to be an old Dai restaurant in the area. The food was really good, 🥬the vegetables were very fresh, the portions were large, and the price was very reasonable. 👍Highly recommended! The homestay also offers 🛵electric bike rental service. Mangshi is not big, and the surrounding attractions are very close, so we rented a 🛵bike, which was very convenient. Famous attractions include: Golden Pagoda, Silver Pagoda, Dai Ancient Town, and Mengbanaxi Food City, all within 2 km. 🚏Transportation: ✈️Direct flight to Dehong Mangshi International Airport, 🈚️no high-speed train, you can take a 🚗taxi from Baoshan Station. 🗼Menghuan Golden Pagoda and Silver Pagoda: The golden pagoda is resplendent in the ☀️sunshine, one is golden and the other is white❄️ as snow, full of exoticism, making it a great place to take photos. Bodhi Temple⛩️: Burmese temple architecture style, all wood structure, simple and ancient. Dai Ancient Town: A newly built commercial district with buildings that have a strong Dai cultural character and are very lively at night. Mengbanaxi Rare Garden: Here you can see peacocks🦚 walking freely, as well as a variety of rare 🍀plants, 🐦animals, and fossils. It is a paradise for nature lovers. Mengbanaxi Food City: A collection of local specialty 🥯food, snacks during the day, and 🍖barbecue at night.
