No backtracking, simplified route: Enter through the North Gate > Panda House > return to the North Gate and take the sightseeing car to the Tiger House > Bear Valley > Chinese Feline House > Feline Planet > Gaoligong Zone > Elephant House > Gondwana Zone > Asian Primate House > Koala House > Giraffe House > Meerkat House > Native Species Conservation Zone > Panda House > North Gate This route allows you to see the pandas twice. If you like koalas, go straight to the Koala House when the zoo opens to see the 9:00 weighing, otherwise they are usually asleep. If you want to see the popular animals, follow the route to the exhibition halls where they are located. It is highly recommended to do your homework before visiting, as the exhibition halls are scattered, and you may have to walk a lot of repeated routes if you don't plan ahead. Honestly, don't have too high expectations, or you may be disappointed. There are a lot of people, and the Panda House now only has two indoor areas open, one of which only has one window, so everyone crowds there. The routes are long, with lots of uphill and downhill. The ecology is good, so whether you can see the animals is up to fate. There are a lot of people at the IP photo spots, so you have to queue. The local ecology of Hongshan Zoo is well built, with animals, plants, and the environment well integrated, and it is visually beautiful. Therefore, it is recommended to spend a day taking your time to learn about the various animals and plants.
