Qingdao in the off-season is truly a paradise. Drive along the West Coast and the most beautiful coastal road, and you'll be treated to breathtaking views reminiscent of the solitude of New Zealand. 1️⃣ Lonely Lighthouse by the Sea 📍 Navigate to Beihai Rescue Bureau Qingdao Base 🔵 There is a small road by the sea, and along the opposite shore, you'll find a lonely lighthouse by the sea, creating a captivating atmosphere. 2️⃣ Ganshui Bay 📍 Navigate to Ganshui Bay Village, where you'll find a small road leading to the sea. 🔵 A secret camping spot, a deserted beach, a few moored fishing boats, and a tranquil paradise. The beach is filled with shells, starfish, and pebbles, and you might stumble upon hidden treasures. 3️⃣ China's Photography Island 📍 Navigate to the location, where there are a few parking spaces. 🔵 A landmark viewing spot not far from Ganshui Bay, offering a view of old Qingdao across the sea, like a scene from a movie. When we visited, it was the last full moon of 2024, and many photographers were capturing the moonrise, creating a stunning sight. 4️⃣ Zuopi Guansun Post Station 📍 Navigate to the location, where there is a parking lot. 🔵 A niche spot for sea viewing and camping, offering unbeatable sea views. You can also enjoy the sea, and the rocks at low tide resemble the lunar rocks of Cappadocia. 5️⃣ Haishen Temple 📍 Navigate to Haishen Temple. 🔵 A camping spot we've visited many times, with the sea, grass, and wooden walkways. 6️⃣ Bihai Tingtao Post Station 🔵 Along the way from Haishen Temple to Bihai Tingtao, there are small steps leading to the sea, a small pavilion with a thatched roof, black rocks reminiscent of Iceland, and layered steps, each spot is mesmerizingly beautiful. 7️⃣ Phoenix Mountain Park 🔵 In the direction west of Haishen Temple, you'll pass by a dedicated RV camping area. The park is a hidden gem, offering various activities like beachcombing, photography, and family outings. 8️⃣ Hanbi Tower Hotel A landmark hotel with iconic sea views, definitely worth a visit. 9️⃣ Ocean Joy The amusement park closest to the sea, with many fun non-powered facilities. Play while watching the sunset over the sea, and nurture your child's innate sense of romance, starting here, haha. 🔟 Shique Beach Sea Viewing Post Station 📍 190 meters southeast of J District, Nandao Town, Huangdao District, Qingdao A super niche sea viewing spot, so niche that you can have an entire coastline to yourself, perfect for beachcombing, sea play, and sea viewing.
