Ruili Nanmao Lake Park - The Green Heart of Ruili

Leaving Nongmo Lake Park, we drove into the city of Ruili. Unlike the border area, the urban area of Ruili is much more low-key, not much different from other county-level cities in the mainland. However, it is orderly, clean, and tidy, making it a comfortable place. Before long, we arrived at the green heart of Ruili's urban area - Nanmao Lake Park. Compared to Nongmo Lake Park, Nanmao Lake is smaller in size but has a richer cultural atmosphere. The park shows more signs of human craftsmanship. Surrounding Nanmao Lake are Ruili's buildings and temples, with rooftops and spires peeking through the green trees against the skyline. There is an island in the middle of the lake, connected by small bridges, creating various garden projects. The small park can be toured in less than an hour. There are not many tourists in the park, mostly locals taking walks and singing, allowing one to truly experience the everyday life of Ruili. Our journey in Ruili comes to an end here. Tomorrow, we will head northeast to our next destination - Tengchong.
