A lesser-known beach with few people and great photo opportunities near Beijing | Dongdaihe

Whenever we don't know where to go during holidays, we head to Dongdaihe, where there are few people and great photo ops, and the overall value for money is high, making it very suitable for a few days of peaceful leisure! 🚄 2.5h by high-speed train to Shanhaiguan, then a 20-minute drive 🚗 4 hours by car, exit at Mengjiangkou 🌟 What to do in Dongdaihe? Dongdaihe has four distinctive beaches: ✅ Shanhai Tongwan: Blue Moon Beach, pictures 1️⃣2️⃣3️⃣, the beach has a lighthouse and you can take a cruise 🛳️; across the road from the beach, the new Bear Forest Park has opened, pictures 8️⃣-1️⃣2️⃣; there's also a popular mini train in Tongwan community (pictures 10 and 13) you can ride! ✅ Kaisa: The beach has many landmark decorations, suitable for taking photos as souvenirs, and it's more crowded in the summer peak season, picture 4️⃣, and last year a new sky ladder was added ✅ Yintai Mercury Beach: pictures 5️⃣6️⃣7️⃣, there's a seaside RV campsite ⛺️, very distinctive, and you can wade in the waves! The coastlines of Tongwan and Kaisa have a large height difference and are not suitable for wading! ✅ Zhimao Bay Jieshi National Marine Park, a good place to go to the sea in Dongdaihe, also more crowded during the summer peak, with beach horse riding activities! 🏨 Accommodation: Recommend the Shanhai Tongwan and Kaisa areas, these two communities are more developed here, with surrounding dining and supermarkets being more mature and of better quality!
