Yi Garden

Yi Garden is located at No. 43 (now No. 1265) Renmin Road, Suzhou. It was built during the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty. The garden is divided into east and west parts. The west part of the garden was originally an ancestral hall, and the south part of the garden leads to a residence. As the garden was built relatively late, it absorbed the strengths of other gardens, such as the covered corridor, mandarin duck hall, rockery, and stone boat. It was listed as a cultural relic protection unit in Suzhou in 1963 and a cultural relic protection unit in Jiangsu Province in 1982.
