A super cozy village at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain - Yuhu Village

🛩️🛩️The day before we set off for Lijiang, I accidentally found this place online. I saw the special stone houses in the pictures and checked our travel route. 🚗🚗We drove ourselves, and our route was Lijiang Airport - Shuhe - Jade Dragon Snow Mountain - Lijiang Old Town. I figured that if we stayed here for one night, we wouldn't have to take the same road again to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain the next day. I quickly found a guesthouse on the app - Yulong Shanshuitan. The pictures, location, and price all seemed super worth it, so I booked it without hesitation. We arrived in Lijiang at 9 am and picked up the car we had rented in advance at 9:30 am. We set off for Shuhe Old Town, strolled around, and went to eat Fuxian Xiaoguo Rice, which was delicious, with generous portions and good taste. After lunch, we drove directly to Yuhu Village. Since we were staying there, we contacted the guesthouse owner in advance, and they registered us, so we could drive directly in. Important point❗️❗️Vehicles not staying in the village can only park at the entrance of the village, and you can choose to walk one kilometer or take a shuttle bus to get in. When we arrived at the guesthouse parking lot, the owner, a young girl, came to help us with our luggage. Seeing that the child was asleep, she took us directly to the room and told us to check in later. Very thoughtful. The guesthouse is a very characteristic Naxi stone courtyard. The owner and her family are locals, but they keep the courtyard and rooms very clean. The key is that the view from the room is beautiful. In good weather, you can see the golden mountain in the morning and afternoon directly from the room. The breakfast made by the aunt is also delicious, nutritious, and tasty, with whole grains, staple foods, protein, milk, or coffee. The little one finished a small plate of broccoli and apples by himself, so I didn't take a picture. The rice noodles were the best we had in the past few days. This guesthouse gave me the feeling of returning to the original guesthouse, simple and authentic, away from the current internet celebrity style. We originally planned to rest and go to Longnv Lake behind the village, but we were too tired from getting up early to catch the flight. Everyone decided to go with the flow, and after a nap in the afternoon, we woke up at 7 pm, so we gave up and decided to stroll around the village for food. Because it was the off-season, two beautiful coffee shops were closed. But we still went to one early the next morning and even got to pet a super clingy orange cat. As it was getting dark, all the tourists were rushing out of the village, and only the three of us were walking up the village, leisurely enjoying the tranquility of the moment. We randomly found a restaurant with lights on - Chuiyan Restaurant, a poetic name that matched the environment here. The small courtyard was very atmospheric, and the wild vegetable mushroom chicken soup was super delicious. The owner put a lot of thought into the ingredients and cooking. The little one ate three small bowls of chicken soup with rice, and I was also full. The whole family was satisfied and warm. We walked back to our guesthouse in the night and the cool autumn breeze. At that moment, I really thought about retiring here and settling down. I envy the people living in such a beautiful place and hope everyone can come and experience a short stay.
