'Lock Mountain' ~ Chain Cliff

Chain Cliff Scenic Area is located on the south bank of the Yangtze River in Quyuan Town, Zigui County, Yichang City, Hubei Province, standing between the Bingshu Baojian Gorge and the Niugan Maifei Gorge, named after the 'chain lock cliff'. Chain Cliff was formerly known as 'Lock Mountain'. 'Guizhou Zhi·Shanshui' records: Xiangxi 'flows eastward for three miles to Bingshu Gorge, also known as White Dog Gorge. The stone wall in the south of the gorge is folded, five feet wide, it is said that there is a divine lock that has not fallen for a long time, called 'Lock Mountain'. In June 2004, Quyuan Town, Zigui County decided to develop Chain Cliff and build a scenic area integrating climbing, sightseeing, and adventure. A statue of 'Zhu Rong', 'Jusong Garden', Guixiang Temple, Wagang Village, Zhao Hun Tai and other attractions were built along the mountain. The first phase of investment has been completed, and attractions such as Guixiang Temple, Release Pond, and Witch Village have taken shape.
