[2024 Shanghai Stay] Travel Guide for Hotel Indigo Shanghai on The Bund (Updated Dec)
If you like bars with a ✨view✨this is for you
Nothing i like more than discovering hotels that are not only modern and luxurious but also have stunning views of the city i am visiting.
I was lucky enough to find the Indigo Hotel from IHG franchise right at the Bund. Their rooftop bar gives you a first-row breathtaking view of Shanghai’s trio of skyscrapers in the Financial area of Pudong at any time of the day.
I stayed there the whole afternoon with some delicious cocktails, amazing service and a 5-stars view of the skyline that turned out even more incredible at sunset time.
Give it a visit when in Shanghai! you don’t need to be also a guest to enter the bar.

#lightthecity The bund is the perfect spot to get wonderful pictures of the city at night. Don't just stay where everyone is when you exit from West Nanjing Road but enjoy a long walk along the bund towards the West Bund where you can experience the view with less people and much better perspectives. Plus you also have some restaurant options in case you get hungry 😏 #shanghai #shanghaitravel

You must stay here when you come to Shanghai!!!
Checked in at IHG Indigo Shanghai Bund
Room: Deluxe River View King Room, booked a basic room, free upgrade for members
Features: Unobstructed view of the Huangpu River, high-altitude terrace, Shanghai style
Overall experience: Recommended (for the river view and terrace bar)
Huangpu River view! Huangpu River view! (River view at breakfast on the 6th floor, river view at the gym on the 7th floor, river view in the room, river view on the terrace on the 30th floor. The Huangpu River is everywhere, and the "three-piece set" of Pudong is in high definition.
Core area of the Bund. The hotel is 20 meters from the Bund, so you can enjoy the view, take photos, and take a cruise without crossing the road.
The view from the terrace on the 30th floor is nice. The cocktails taste good, and you don't need to swipe your card, so anyone can enter. Only hotel guests don't need to pay for tickets. The hotel is decorated with strong Shanghai style elements.
There are many dining options at the BFC mall across the street.

Hotel Indigo Rooftop Bar
#travelanywhere The rooftop bar at Hotel Indigo Shanghai offers an unparalleled experience with its top-notch views of The Bund. The panoramic vista of Shanghai’s iconic skyline, including the stunning juxtaposition of modern Pudong and historical Puxi, makes it a must-visit spot for anyone looking to enjoy the city’s beauty from above.
I was particularly impressed by the breathtaking scenery, especially as the city lights up in the evening. The view alone is worth the visit, but the experience is further enhanced by the well-crafted drinks. At 200 RMB for 2 drinks, it offers great value considering the spectacular surroundings and the overall ambiance.
The bar itself has a chic and inviting atmosphere, making it a perfect place to relax and take in the views. The combination of excellent service, delightful beverages, and the stunning backdrop of The Bund creates a memorable and enjoyable experience.
Overall, the rooftop bar at Hotel Indigo Shanghai is a fantastic place to unwind and appreciate the city’s skyline. The views are top-notch, and the experience is well worth the price. I highly recommend it for both visitors and locals looking for a unique and scenic spot to enjoy a drink.

Coffee in Shanghai Jing An area
Jing'an, a vibrant district in Shanghai, boasts luxurious hotels like The Puli Hotel and Spa, and Jing An Shangri-La as well as IHG Indigo. The M50 Creative Park showcases contemporary art, while charming cafes like Seesaw Coffee and Farine Bakery offer delightful breaks. Along Suzhou Creek, enjoy picturesque views and a serene atmosphere, blending modern and historical architecture. Jing'an is a must-visit for luxury, culture, and leisure. My top recommendation for all art and coffee interested people is the LINs Cafe. Go there and feel the great vibe.

Overlooking the beautiful scenery of the Huangpu River~ Indigo Hotel on the Bund, Shanghai
Indigo Hotel on the Bund, Shanghai
is located in the magnificent Bund riverside landscape belt of Shanghai.
As the first hotel in the Asia-Pacific region,
Indigo Hotel on the Bund, Shanghai not only
has a beautiful view of the traditional and modern Huangpu River,
but also provides guests with a boutique hotel accommodation experience,
emphasizing inspiring and considerate service, vibrant and local cultural design decoration, while providing customers with a real experience of the fusion of old and new Shanghai today.
The hotel is eclectic, perfectly blending real modern design features with traditional Chinese elements, creating a lively and interesting environment, while cleverly bringing different modern localized home decorations into the design.
The elements of river water and dock are also subtly applied to the overall design of the hotel. In addition, the hotel pays great attention to creating different spatial patterns to suit the different moods of guests. All these design concepts have created a friendly, individual, and local culture-filled hotel.
So elegant, why not come and experience it.
Enjoying the view at my favorite shanghai rooftop @indigohotel

Not ready to leave, then stay with tranquility~
Well! after 14 quarantines of 14 days in 2 years, I told myself not to be in the same situation anymore!
However, the whole city is confined, for how long? nobody knows…
it looks like those supplies are not for few days, but weeks!
Relax~ be positive, and be patient! 😁
At least, the room is really nice! #本地遊
