There are many delicious foods in the alleys around the MRT station, and the Taipei Dome is right next to it. Recently, many important competitions and concerts have been held here. This time, the main destination is the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park next to the Taipei Dome. Songshan Cultural and Creative Park is a must-visit spot every time I come to the north. The current site was originally the Songshan Tobacco Plant of the Taiwan Tobacco and Liquor Corporation. The factory buildings have a very nostalgic architectural style. It is now listed as a municipal historic site and serves as Taipei's original creative base. There are various types of exhibitions in the A7 factory building. There are also many cultural and creative products for shopping. The A10 boiler room has been transformed into a coffee rest area. You can taste coffee with different flavors from different regions inside. The A1-5 warehouses are currently hosting Taipei Fashion Week, which is very lively. Building B, Taipei Cultural and Creative Building, is also a trendy and creative shopping mall. There are various DIY handmade learning products inside. It is a must-visit cultural and creative style mall every time I come to the north.

Hidden in a quiet corner of Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, this secret library was converted from an old employee bathhouse. Upon entering, visitors must change into slippers and purchase a ticket. Inside, a sunken reading area reminiscent of a bathhouse greets the eyes, with bookshelves stacked high around the space. The space also leads to an outdoor garden and the remnants of the original bathhouse, where the washbasins and semi-circular bath are now used as display areas. This time back in Taiwan, I finally had time to schedule a visit to the library. - 📖: 'More than a Library' 📍: Inside the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park in Xinyi District, Taipei 🎫: 50 Taiwan dollars per person - The Songshan Cultural and Creative Park is converted from the former Songshan Tobacco Factory. The long corridor-style old building is now used as an art exhibition space and a cultural and creative product sales area. Some areas require a ticket to visit, like the 'More than a Library' I went to this time. - This is a sunken space design, with most of the books on display related to art, design, and marketing. The library has plenty of space for sitting on the floor, which is very reader-friendly. - Entering through a small, risky entrance, you find yourself in another world. It is still a book display area, which used to be the employee bathhouse of the Songshan Tobacco Factory. Outside the bathhouse, there is a small garden, but unfortunately, it was not open that day. - Inside the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, there are also many cafes and independent bookstores. The most interesting one is an Eslite bookstore, which is interesting because this Eslite is not only a bookstore but also includes a department store and Eslite Hotel (a hotel opened by Eslite). It's very large and you can spend half a day browsing. - The CAMA Coffee in the park is also one of my favorites. Its architectural style is completely different from other CAMAs. CAMA is cheap and delicious, and I hope it opens in Mainland China soon!

It is located at 133 Guangfu South Road, Xinyi District, and is open daily from 0800-2200. It is around 6 minutes 500 meters walk from Taipei City Hall station (Bannan Line). It is a great place to walk around and enjoy, since being converted into a cultural hub packed with galleries, exhibitions, design spaces and shops. It is best to visit over a weekend, when there are usually markets selling gifts and foods.

As compared to the Huashan Cultural and Creative Park, this park is less well known but also definitely worth a visit! The park is a former tobacco factory warehouses and has many different nooks and crannies to explore. From the pond, to the warehouses to the huge eslite spectrum store to the highly recommended eslite hotel, there is bound to be something that catches your eye. There are tons of items to shop till you drop too. There are also exhibitions to visit (mostly payable). Plan at least half a day here to fully explore this place! Although the taxi driver said that Songshan Wenchuang is not as good as Huashan, after visiting the day and night, I prefer the old factory building and the new department store steel structure with the large space of the school auditorium. I think the most eye-catching artworks by him would be paintings: Mona Lisa, the Messiah, the Annunciation, John the Baptist, Madonna with Jesus & John the Baptist as infants… have seen these at Medici & Musee de Uffizi at Florence some years ago. It’s so nice to re-visit the drawings again & get to know more about the historical backgrounds of his works; also the quotes featuring his reflections on the creative process. Despite the rush, the visit was still effective, especially in terms of the admiration and comfort felt towards the Taipei National Palace Museum's efforts in protecting and restoring these Chinese treasures and cultural relics.

The entire exhibition hall, from the outside to the inside, truly complements the name 'Design Museum'. The ticket price fluctuates depending on the current temporary exhibition, and when I visited, it was only 50 New Taiwan Dollars, which is about 10 RMB. During the Japanese occupation, the "Taiwan Tobacco Factory of the Governor's Office of Taiwan's Governor's Office" became today's Wenchuang Garden. The huge iron shelf is the Taipei Big Dome Stadium being built. The Wenchuang Garden looks short and long. At the entrance to the north gate, there is a small forest park. The large courtyard is hollow and empty. The complete factory building retains the dark gray light in the sunset. In order to revitalize the old district, the Taiwan government has re-planned the Songshan Tobacco Factory of the Taiwan Governors Monopoly Bureau into a creative park combining art, culture and design, in addition to being used for exhibitions and performances, and Taiwan. The Creative Design Center collaborated to set up the Taiwan Design Pavilion and jointly launched the Hill Hall to promote the art of glass with the famous Liuli Workshop, and set up a light food restaurant in the mechanical repair shop.
