[Kagawa x Teshima Art Museum] A healing space where nature and art come together
Teshima Art Museum, located in Teshima, Kagawa Prefecture, is an artistic art museum created by architect Nishizawa Ryue and artist Naito Rei.
The building was designed to blend into the lush natural surroundings, almost as if it were part of the terrain.
Inside the museum, you can experience tranquil and mysterious installations woven with water droplets and light.
It is also fascinating to see how the art shows new faces as nature changes with the time and season.
This is a recommended place for those who want to escape from everyday life and spend some special time soothing the soul!

Teshima Art Museum
Located on a small hill in Karato, Teshima, overlooking the Seto Inland Sea, the Teshima Art Museum is a collaboration between artist Rei Naito and architect Ryue Nishizawa. The museum was built on a former terraced rice field that was revitalized with the help of local residents. In one corner of this vast site, a building shaped like a water droplet was erected. This concrete shell structure, measuring 40 by 60 meters with a maximum height of 4.5 meters, has no pillars. Two openings in the ceiling allow the surrounding wind, sound, and light to enter directly, creating an organic space where nature and the building interact. Inside, a 'spring' emerges throughout the day, reflecting the infinite expressions of changing seasons and the passage of time.
The Teshima Art Museum requires advance reservations (online ticket system).

The Toshima Museum of Art is on the hillside of Tanzan, surrounded by vibrant terraces. Although it is an artificial building, it looks like a half eggshell on the ground.
There is a super handsome corner here, there is no barrier to the Seto Inland Sea, so everyone wants to take pictures in the middle of the road (pay attention to safety
take the bus to this "Tang Cabinet" area when you can't prevent It was raining, slowly bypassing the Shenming Mountain in the museum, and entering the interior of the artwork, suddenly awakened, this rain is the prelude ~
architect Nishizawa, the artist is Naito, the name of the work It is the "mother body" that expresses the birth process of spring water. This "egg shell" is made of 25 cm thick concrete. There is no pillar support. There are two skylights in the building. Below is a thin ribbon floating in the wind. There are some small holes on the ground, and the water from more than 180 meters underground is popped out from these holes and collected into large drops of water, leaving it to the low places. Nothing else. All the blue sky The sun, the green outside the skylight, the birdsong, the sound of the wind, the faint rain, the leaves, the traces of rain on the ground, are all felt at the moment of the moment. Quite a lot, everyone sitting or lying, even Words are consciously turn the volume down to a minimum, just can not play with water droplets oh ~
