I recommend making reservations in advance through Facebook or Instagram! We went in the morning and the view on a clear day is beautiful beyond words. Perhaps even more spectacular in the evening. I loved the lavender lassi I ordered, which was a lovely color and tasted rich and delicious.💜 The staff was quite courteous and helpful, and the overall service was excellent. It was hard to find a seat during lunch time, but I was lucky to be seated on the third floor with a view of the church! I loved the coffee I ordered, rich with condensed milk and coconut milk. #2024mapped During summer holiday, I spent out myself in Ho Chi Minh. I have been there for so many times and loved the coffee, hence I decided to spent my summer holiday here with their best coffee I have ever had! I love as well their local food called Pho, which contain rice noodle, beef and some vegetables that makes this food so healthy. I did also enjoy the sightseeing with a double decker bus and go around the city with multiple stops to some city's attractions destination. #vietnamtrip I heard so much about egg coffee and decided to try it!!! Eggyolk Coffee is a famous egg coffee chain in Hanoi with a branch in Ho Chi Minh city, near Ben Thanh Market!!! This coffee shop specialty is the famous Hanoian egg coffee and they put in their own modern twist into it. I ordered the Cà phê Trứng đá or Iced Egg Coffee which came served with a small glass of tea too!!!! The egg coffee is pretty good, with the egg cream tasting smooth and velvety minus any raw egg taste!!!! They also serve some lovely pastries!!! I ordered the chocolate timbering cake which was very tasty, the cake is flaky kinda like a crossaint with nutella in it and a cute marshmallow egg on top!!! This museum gives visitors a graphic account of the atrocities of the Vietnam War and it is very graphic and confronting. Once a simple colonial era villa, known as the Museum of American War Crimes, the museum now spans 3 floors and includes an extensive recreation of the former prison on Con Dao Island. The outdoor section of the museum displays the hardware of the United States’ Vietnam War machine - tanks, aircraft and weapons. One day trip to another country that doesn't share the border with your homeland sounds a bit ridiculous, but it is doable! Although my original plan is to mainly visit my friends, it wasn't too difficult to do some sightseeing along the way. So here's what I did during my trip to HCMC! 1) Visit cafe and coffee shops: There are so many cafes scatter around the city, you can try the famous coconut coffee! I also visit a very cute Japanese cafe in the afternoon to rest from the scorching hot weather. 2) Visit Ben Thanh market: It's a good place to see the variety of local products. 3) Try Vietnamese food: It's a MUST 4) Stop by and get Vietnamese chocolate as a souvenir at Alluvia: They offer various kind of chocolate. This was so unexpected. It was 5 of us and we came across this indian restaurant while walking around. It seemed quite busy with a mix of Asians and tourists. We figured it might be worth a try. Since all of us needed a change from Vietnamese food. What a fantastic experience. One of my favourite food outings in all of vietnam. Situated in a highly touristy area, it stands out by offering mouth watering dishes without trying to overcharge patrons like many others in the area. Our dining experience here was truly enjoyable. The great Aloo Gabi Mattar vegetarian dish was the center of the meal, a mix of cauliflower, green peas, and potatoes. The main dish is supplemented with Aloo Paratha to satisfy my potato cravings. But the crown jewel went to the surprise freebie Rice Pudding, a truly perfected sweet that I haven't had anything comparable in years! #vietnamtrip #indianfood #hochiminh

Stayed at the Signature by M Village Le Thanh Ton over the weekend for 3 days 2 nights. The experience was wonderful before checking in. The hotel staff would drop a WhatsApp message to confirm the stay and check in timing. Check in process was quick and wonderful. The lobby was also spacious and beautiful. I was assigned a room on the high floor with city view which was great and there is a wonderful river view as well. The room was really spacious and I liked the layout of the open concept wardrobe which is easy to access. The amenities were well equipped with slippers, bathrobes, hairdryer, and all the bathroom toiletries that you will require. I love their shampoo and body wash. The shower have good water pressure which is very important and the rain shower was wonderful in a hot city like Saigon. The bed was huge and very comfortable and the Tv was well equipped with many channels to keep you occupied in the room. You can reach out to the concierge and reception via the WhatsApp message that the hotel staff had contacted you with. They confirmed the checkout time with you the night before and I was given a late checkout which was great as I had an evening flight. The Le Thanh Ton area was great as it is in the vicinity of the Japanese town. There are convenience situated all around the hotel for you to do your 24/7 emergency runs in case you need to buy something. A lot of Japanese food options, cafes, Izakayas and bar. Qui bar is just beside the hotel, you have the famous cheese coffee and beautiful every half coffee just in close walking distance. There are also a lot of massage shops in the area. There are many M village hotels in Vietnam, with different target audience. Signature by M village is the higher end of the hotel from the brand. I am looking to try Signature by M Village Hai Ba Trung next time which is next to the Park Hyatt. One down side of the hotel is that it doesn’t have a sheltered pick up point which is bad when it rains. Unexpected luxury! I could tell this was going to be a 5 star hotel given the pictures of the hotel exterior and interior on Trip.com, but the class level of this hotel kept pleasantly surprising me throughout the stay. The lobby was rather grand, spacious with a piano, lobby lounge and drop off area. A little essence of European vibes. Welcome drinks provided as well. The room was comfortably big, which is a luxury when staying in the capital. Had the interior design of modern day 5 star hotel rooms, balancing together with subtle classic European looks with the furniture, walls and toilet. Breakfast was amazing. The kind where the spread is delectable and large. Vietnamese, western, sushi, pastries, desserts, fruits. Too many choices. First hotel I’ve seen with a system to deliver your live stations food to your table (eggs, pho, bahn mi). The little things: A fresh rose in the room (I thought it was fake till I saw the staff with a trolley full of watered roses in the corridor). Quality amenities. Branded soaps. Quality toiletries (except shaver). Bath salts. Room amenities given in a paper bag when requested. The cream is soft and smooth on the tongue. Another menu that I ordered was bánh mì chấm kem trứng, which is toast served with soft eggs. It is the same as in egg coffee, but it is less sweet. It is soft and smooth like the original. It is very delicious. I like this menu. I also ordered orange juice. At first, I thought it would be to reduce the richness. But it was not. It was so delicious. #hochiminhcity Another landmark of Ho Chi Minh City is the Reunification or Independence Palace. It is a historical gem because it educates the tourists on the happenings of the Vietnam War. The palace is massive and located at the center of the city. There is an entrance fee but for the amount of places to see, the fee is worth it. We visited on a Sunday so be prepared for the throng of people if you’re coming on a weekend. What surprised me is that there’s a lot of local people also visiting the palace. The building is of modern style. The façade and the lawn with the water feature in front has a very authoritative or commanding feel. There are counters where you can avail of the audio-guided tours. The rooms are all open for photos but are barricaded so you could only take photos from outside of the room, you cannot go in. There’s a lot to see, from basement to top, be prepared to take stairs too, since the lifts are small and hard to find. There were really a lot to photograph. I especially loved the rooftop where there are scenic viewpoints.
