#francetrip Spending a day in Saint-Tropez was a dream come true during my summer vacation! 🌞🏖️ This famous town on the French Riviera is every bit as glamorous as you’d imagine, but also has a charm and laid-back vibe that made it easy to fall in love with. I started my day with a leisurely stroll through the old town, known as La Ponche. The narrow, cobblestone streets are lined with pastel-colored buildings, chic boutiques, and quaint cafes. I couldn’t resist stopping for a coffee and a croissant at a local patisserie, where I soaked up the morning sun and watched the world go by. ☕🥐 From there, I headed to the iconic Port de Saint-Tropez. The harbor is filled with luxury yachts and offers some serious people-watching opportunities. It’s a great spot to just sit and take in the opulence that Saint-Tropez is known for. I walked along the promenade, admiring the mix of traditional fishing boats and sleek modern yachts, all set against the backdrop of the turquoise sea. 🚤🌊 Next, I visited the Citadelle de Saint-Tropez, which sits atop a hill overlooking the town. The entrance fee was about €4, and it was worth every cent. The views from the top are breathtaking, offering a panoramic vista of the coastline and the town below. The citadel itself is steeped in history, and the Maritime Museum inside gave me a deeper appreciation for Saint-Tropez's nautical past. 🏰🌅 After exploring the citadel, I made my way to the Place des Lices, a bustling square in the heart of the town. On market days, this square comes alive with stalls selling everything from fresh produce to local crafts. Even on a regular day, it’s a great place to sit under the shade of the plane trees and watch locals play pétanque. 🎯🌳 For lunch, I couldn’t resist trying a seafood dish at one of the seaside restaurants. The seafood in Saint-Tropez is as fresh as it gets, and enjoying it with a glass of rosé while looking out over the Mediterranean was pure bliss. 🦑🍷 To end the day, I headed to one of the nearby beaches, like Pampelonne, for a relaxing afternoon in the sun. The beach was beautiful, with soft sand and crystal-clear water, perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing. A day in Saint-Tropez is a mix of luxury, history, and natural beauty. Beautiful city! You can easily reach by train from Nice. The old town is stunning. Great restaurants. The beach is great and perfect for kids with showers in the seashore. You can do just one day trip or spend some days in one of the nice hostels in the town. I personally visited Monaco in the morning and Menton in the afternoon. #francetrip This summer, I had the pleasure of spending a few days in Nice, France, and I absolutely fell in love with this vibrant city on the French Riviera. 🌞🌴 Located on the stunning Côte d’Azur, Nice has a perfect blend of culture, history, and seaside relaxation that made my visit unforgettable. I started my trip by strolling down the famous Promenade des Anglais, a beautiful walkway that stretches along the coastline. The promenade is lined with palm trees, grand hotels, and beach clubs, and it’s the perfect spot to take in the breathtaking views of the Mediterranean. I could’ve spent hours just walking and people-watching, with the clear blue sea on one side and the lively city on the other. 🌊🏖️ One of my favorite stops was the Old Town (Vieux Nice), with its narrow, winding streets and colorful buildings. The atmosphere here is lively and full of character, with bustling markets, quaint shops, and cozy cafes. I spent an afternoon exploring the Cours Saleya market, where I found everything from fresh produce to handmade crafts. It’s a great place to pick up a souvenir or just enjoy a coffee while soaking up the local vibe. ☕🍊 Another highlight of my trip was visiting the Colline du Château (Castle Hill). Although there’s no entrance fee, the climb to the top was rewarded with stunning panoramic views of Nice and the Baie des Anges. The park up there is perfect for a leisurely walk or a picnic, and the waterfall is a refreshing surprise. 🌅🌳 I also made sure to visit some of the museums, like the Musée Matisse, which is dedicated to the works of Henri Matisse, who spent much of his life in Nice. The museum is located in a beautiful villa surrounded by olive trees, and it offers a peaceful escape from the busier parts of the city. 🎨🏛️ Of course, no trip to Nice would be complete without sampling the local cuisine. From fresh seafood to traditional Niçoise dishes like socca and salade Niçoise, the food was incredible. I enjoyed a meal at a seaside restaurant, where I could enjoy the flavors of the region with a view of the sparkling sea. 🍷🐟 Nice has something for everyone, whether you’re interested in art, history, or just relaxing by the beach.
