Our hike to Hokitika Gorge was an unforgettable part of our West Coast adventure. As we walked along the trail, we were surrounded by lush native forest, with the sound of the river rushing nearby. The path was well-maintained, making it an easy yet rewarding walk for all skill levels. The anticipation built with each step, knowing that at the end of the trail, we would be rewarded with the famous turquoise waters of the gorge. The vibrant blue color of the water, contrasted against the surrounding greenery, was nothing short of mesmerizing. Reaching the viewing platform at the gorge, we were blown away by the breathtaking view. The water in the gorge was an incredible shade of blue, almost unreal, flowing swiftly through the rugged, rocky landscape. The surrounding cliffs and dense forest added to the dramatic beauty of the scene. We took our time soaking it all in, snapping photos, and even taking a moment to simply enjoy the serenity. Awning was the best part, almost felt a home away from home . We hired it from Camplify and it was such a smooth process of picking it up and dropping back. #wecreate freedom parking at Reefton, The Strand it was only 7pm new zealand time. we decided park a night before carryon driving to another town next morning. the scenery reminds us of the drama series "walking dead* besides it is quiet small town people there are nice and lovely. we had a simple dinner in the campervan cause it was too cold outside #campervan a clever dog waiting outside the 4square supermarket for the owner, a small hotel name Dawson Hotel, a bar and some small shop around.

If you are exploring northland, New Zealand with a van or a car. I would recommend this campground. It was the best one I have been to in New Zealand so far. Reasons: 1. The beach is just 1min walk (depending on where you set up the van/car). 2. Close to the major attractions in northland (sand dunes/lighthouse). 3. There are outdoor cold showers. 4. Two or three nice hiking trails. Apart from that, remember to stock up with food and drinking water before heading there. The closest shop (well stocked) is around 45mins drive. There a drinking water tap at the lighthouse carpark 1, just at the toilets. You can book and pay online before going as well since the cell signal is not that great there. 16 NZD per person like most DOCs. Enjoy your stay! #Vanlife #beachlife #campervan #mytripvlog

This was one of the best moments during my recent trip to Tasmania. A memory that I'd always hold close to my heart. Travelling around in a campervan gave us the flexibility to park and sleep any where we fancy for the night, whenever we want. This meant that we could travel to the edge of the world where we could be closest to nature and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. This is a spot at Friendly Beaches campground in Freycinet National Park, Tasmania, where we woke up to the sounds of lapping waves and sights of surfers in the sea.
