Come to the Nebuta House and experience the excitement of the Aomori Nebuta Festival parade floats!
#IndoorActivities #100 Ways to Travel
The #AomoriNebuta Matsuri held in early August every year is one of the most famous festivals in Japan. People will carry huge and gorgeous lantern floats and parade through the streets and alleys of Aomori city. It is very interesting! But if you missed the Sandman Festival, you can still feel the excitement of the celebration at # Sandman House, as if you were participating in it in person!
Wa Rasse, the House of the Sandman, is an indoor exhibition hall with a special appearance. It is like a red steel silk wrapped around it. It is both magical and magical. Walk inside and appreciate the style of the Sandman Festival.
The exhibition hall displays various floats that have been paraded in the Nebuta Festival. It is shocking to see from a distance and up close. I didn’t expect that the floats are so huge, the workmanship is so fine, and they are even more shiny and cool after being lit up!
The lifelike Sandman float, with its bells and big eyes, is depicted in different angles from all sides, and there is even a modern version of Wonder Woman stealing the lantern! It's quite similar to the Taiwanese gods who go out to build a royal boat float on their birthdays.
When you walk into the Nebuta House, in addition to learning about the history and structure of the Nebuta Festival, you can also participate in experiences or watch performances, such as the Nebuta Forest Live Performance & Haneto Experience Show on weekends, the Nebuta Festival experience, sticker experience and Sandbuta Service Show on weekdays. It’s a great indoor activity.

Aomori A-Factory Bunsei Apple Factory is super easy to visit and buy
#shopping #100 ways to travel
When traveling to Aomori, if you want to buy souvenirs and specialties in one stop, the first choice is of course the "A-Factory", which is a minute's walk from Aomori Station. It is somewhat similar to the shape of the Kanamori warehouse in Hakodate, and the interior is spacious and bright, with a literary and youth market style. shopping mall.
As soon as you enter the door, you will see the fresh food market produced in Aomori Prefecture. All the specialty agricultural products of Aomori are available. There are all kinds of apple products, from apple juice, apple pie, apple cider, to apple gift boxes, and even white rice. It’s quite a nice place to shop. You can buy some big and sweet Aomori apples to eat back at the hotel.
In addition to the fresh produce market, there is also an apple cider brewing workshop, allowing visitors to visit through the glass display window and directly see the brewing process of apple cider. They can also purchase a tasting card on the spot and drink four cups directly.

A high-quality business hotel with a convenient location: Aomori Daiwa Roynet Hotel
#100 Ways to Travel
During my free trip to Tohoku Japan, I came to Aomori City and also stayed at Daiwa Roynet Hotel. Daiwa in Aomori is very close to the fish market, so I didn’t want to buy breakfast and planned to go to the market to eat seafood donburi.
Aomori Daiwa also has a mechanical parking tower, which costs ¥1,000 a night. The reception hall is located on the 2nd floor. The rest area is beautifully decorated. There is a picture of all varieties of apples in Japan posted on the wall. There are nearly a hundred varieties, which is amazing! It's basically a decent business hotel.
This time I stayed in the Supreme Deluxe Twin Room, which has a living room with a large sofa and a double washbasin and bathtub bathroom. The room is fully 42 square meters in size. Because I checked in on a Friday, the room fee was about NT$5,000.
The transportation location is within 10 minutes' walk from Aomori Station. It is also within walking distance to the product museum and Nebuta House, which is very convenient.

Aomori | Asamushi Onsen Stay Report: Yadoya Tsubaki
I had the opportunity to visit Aomori and thought it would be nice to stay at an onsen, so I found Asamushi Onsen.
Since Aomori is a heavy snowfall area, it's great to have an onsen that can be reached by train alone.
This time, I stayed at 'Yadoya Tsubaki'.
It's a very affordable inn where you can enjoy a private bath with flowing hot spring water.
They aim to be an inn that, while not luxurious, makes you think 'I might come back again'. It was clean and relaxing.
When visiting Aomori, staying in the city center is nice, but extending your trip a bit to stay here is definitely an option.
A short walk from the inn, there's a spot called 'Onsen Tamago-yu' where you can make onsen eggs!
You can buy eggs at a nearby convenience store, so be sure to try it out.
While waiting for the eggs to cook, you can relax in the footbath next to it.

Did you know Aomori also has its own Senbon Inari? Discover the charm of Takayama Inari Shrine.
When you think of Senbon Inari, Kyoto's Fushimi Inari Shrine probably comes to mind. However, Aomori Prefecture also boasts a shrine with a series of torii gates!
The name of this shrine is 'Takayama Inari Shrine'⛩️
One of the best things about this place is that it's almost always empty or has very few visitors!
I've visited three times and have only encountered two people.
It might just be a coincidence, but compared to Fushimi Inari Shrine, it has significantly fewer visitors, making it perfect for those who want to take their time and enjoy the sights✨

[Aomori] A spectacular art museum in Towada City
After arriving at Misawa Airport, we drove to the Towada Art Center🎨
Towada Art Center was a lot of fun because you can appreciate art while experiencing it💓
There are both indoor and outdoor exhibits, and the outdoor ones are free to enjoy☀️
We were blessed with good weather outdoors, so it was nice to be able to take photos with the blue sky🥰
As soon as we entered the interior, there was a big old lady😳
Not only was it big, it was also very intricately made, and it looked like it was alive!
There is a fee to go inside, but it's well worth a visit, so I definitely recommend you go!

Aomori: An Art Spot Merged with Nature.
Visit the Aomori Museum of Art, designed by Tadao Ando, in Aomori City!
The concept of the building is 'invisible architecture,' which is meant to be submerged in nature, and it's intended that the entire space, including natural phenomena like snow, becomes part of the exhibition area✨
There are no permanent exhibition rooms here; instead, outdoor artworks are scattered throughout the site, and you can find them as you stroll around the area🚶
Located at the foot of the Hakkoda Mountains, there's still quite a bit of snow remaining, and it's really fun to walk around and enjoy the typical Aomori scenery❄️
There were some works that were buried in the snow and couldn't be seen, so I want to go back and see them when it's warmer🩵

About 30 minutes by car from Shin-Aomori Station

An architectural work by Tadao Ando
You can walk along the promenade surrounded by nature and enjoy multiple works of art for free.
It's a very quiet and perfect place to relax.
I visited during the season of fresh greenery, so it was very relaxing.
The promenade is surrounded by greenery, so I recommend taking insect repellent.
There is also a picture book corner, so I think it's a fun place to bring children.

This museum is famous for its Aomori dog.
The interior of the museum is unified in white from the outside, and the symbolic mark installed on the outside is said to depict growth, "blue trees gathering together to become a forest."
The first thing you see when you enter the museum is Chagall's Aleko.
The third act of Aleko's background paintings, which are all four in total, has been granted an extension of the loan period until the end of March 2023 from the Philadelphia Museum of Art in the United States, where it is stored, so you can see all four works together.
It is larger and more impressive than in the photo, and it is impressive.
There are chairs with the same colors as the paintings, so you can sit and look at them at your leisure.
The Aomori dog was also larger and smoother than I imagined, and it was a very gentle-feeling work.
