Classy stay
Having stayed in classy hotels🏨 with old architecture style, I was never a big fan of it. Somehow it doesn't vibe with what I want to do in life 😉, and so it is always a no go for me. But Park Hyatt in Suzhou has shown me the completely other side of it, most importantly the bright side of it. It gave me a sense of calmness and serenity😇 to think clearly what I want to do; but not in rush. Situated around the Jinji lake, it also has the perfect view of the Suzhou eye 🎡. They have got these japanese hybrid 🌴 trees planted at the centre with the golden 🐠 fishes floating around. But the interior of the room has nice old Chinese architecture. Like any other five star hotels they too have got in-room coffee, tea and few snacks to munch on. Definitely I'll go again to attain that mind space 🌌 #businessclass #worklife

The basic rich seonji haejangguk
They say it's boiled every day with raw beef ribs and ox bones
It's rich and heavy, and I really like the spicy taste

Get All Right
Get All Right Entertainment's first live club,
and the birthplace of a new play culture in Korea
With the concept of an adult playground, it is a great space where you can enjoy various alcoholic beverages and cocktails, along with high-quality performances that match the trend, while diversifying the stage and creating a variety of stages
This time, we collaborated with the stateless bar Moktanjang in Dosan Park,
and the side dishes have been greatly enhanced
In particular, the seafood short pasta and grilled Korean beef ribs
were as tasty as any dining establishment
The performances are great and the side dishes are delicious,
so I think I'll be going more often than before

Izakaya Haru, called Gunja Ichie
It's a popular izakaya that is full as soon as it opens,
and you have to wait in line
The side dishes made with fresh ingredients are delicious
and the service is very friendly, which is nice
It's a little disappointing compared to its reputation,
but it seems hard to find this level of quality around here
They also sell soju, which is great
It seems perfect for a drink in Gunja

Yongcheon Makguksu
A place that comes to mind when you think of Makguksu in Jecheon
There are many tourists and locals
This is a 1st-tier Makguksu restaurant in Jecheon
The water-makguksu is very refreshing and delicious
The broth is not dongchimi but meat broth
They say they make the noodles, seasoning, and broth themselves
The good price is also attractive, to the point that it was selected as a good store
Since it is next to the Jecheon Central Market
If you go to the traditional market, go there

Hoegi Royal Family Foot Bossam
As recommended by Bossam King, this place is really delicious
Not only is the bossam with moist meat great
but the kimchi made with 30 kinds of seasonings including pear and raw shrimp
is spicy and sweet and really refreshing
It seems that 80% of bossam is kimchi
It's also good to have savory soybean paste soup and bean sprout soup as a base
The jajangmyeon was a bit ordinary, but it's a shame not to order it
This is a place that all Kyunghee University students know
If you're nearby, be sure to visit

Bape Pida 꽃, 밥에 피다
A Michelin Green Star winning Korean restaurant near Insadong with beautifully plated Bojaki Bibimbap and healthy Korean dishes
If you plan to visit Insadong or Samcheongdong that are near the Gyeongbokgung Palace, I would highly recommend to try this restaurant’s beautifully arranged yet healthy and delicious Korean dishes.
The most popular menu, Bojaki Bibimbap, is served with a selection of vegetables and rice beautifully wrapped by the thin egg garnish as Bojaki means package or wrapper. If you mix rice with all the vegetables with rice topped with handmade gochujang paste, you would love the healthy and savory taste.
There is a slight difference in lunch and dinner menus, as you can taste a simple course menu starting with a soup, salad, and the main menu of your choice. If you would like to taste more single dishes, I would recommend to visit for dinner and pair up with Korean liquor.

할머니의 레시피 Grandma's Recipe
'Jipbap', which means a home-cooked meal, gives a certain nostalgic vibe especially when you are away from home. Even though there is nothing special about it, you get to have a strong urge about it from time to time. In the case of Korea, Jipbap normally is composed of bowls for rice and soup, a few banchans made with veggies or salted seafood, and, preferably, a 'gogi' banchan. Gogi banchan is the protein of the meal and is considered the main side dish.
If you want to try a legitimate 'jipbap' in a modern setting, Grandma's Recipe is the place to be. Located around the entrance of Seoul Forest, it has been loved by locals and employees from offices around it with its warm and welcoming vibe. We were impressed with little details like the menu inside an envelope. We were able to learn that sauces and condiments it uses are made by the mother of the owner. How authentic!
It offers various menus based on the gogi banchan. We ordered Ssambap Jeongsik (Leaf Wraps and Rice Meal), Ganjanggejang Jeongsik (Soy Sauce Marinated Crab Meal, and Ddeokgalbi Jeongsik (Grilled Short Rib Patties Meal). At first, they served banchans that we share such as kimchi and salad. Then each of us was served with a plate filled with other banchans made with salted seafood and bowls of rice and soup.
Jeyukbokkeum, which is stirred-fried pork, was served for Ssambap Jeongsik. They also gave us lettuce and sesame leaf. For ssambap, we wrap meats and other banchan in a leaf. Ganjanggejang might be a little strange and is a bit hard to eat besides the body part. But it was worth the struggle. Also, try pouring soy sauce and adding butter cubes to the rice, and mix them. Soy sauce butter rice is going to be a bomb. We promise. We had 2 pieces of Ddeokgalbi patties. Although it was quite thick, it was not dry at all. It was sweet and savory with a soft texture.
If you want to experience a decent local home-cooked meal in Korea, visit Grandma's Recipe and make sure to take a walk in Seoul Forest after the meal. It is going to make your day.

Jinnam Hwet Jip (Yeosu)
진남횟집 돌산본점
Containing about 20 different types of seafood, the special mulhwe will be mind-blowing to seafood lovers, especially more during hot weathers.
Mulhwe is eaten commonly in the coastal regions of South Korea where seafood is caught easily.
Mix the seafood thoroughly with the cold, spicy soup underneath. After you eat about half of the seafood, add the noodles into the mulhwe to complete your mulhwe meal.
We also ordered a hwe-deopbap (bibimbap with raw fish) which is also commonly found in hwe restaurants.

LADUMA RESTAURANT - UBUD
Many people think that to get the best sunset moment in Bali, you have to go to the beach. Eits, not necessarily. Who would have thought that the Ubud forest can also offer a sunset view that is no less spectacular? If enjoying the moment of the sun setting behind the blue sea is too common, then be prepared to be amazed when the sun begins to sink itself among the lush trees in Ubud. And one of the best spots to get this panorama is of course Laduma Ubud. Sitting on the rooftop overlooking the sun while eating a variety of healthy menus typical of Laduma Ubud will make your body and soul feel like being reborn. Fresh!

학담 Hakdam
If you are one of ONCE, which is a fan of TWICE, you must be counting on "Taste of Love"! So we brought you what might be the taste of love in Korea. Momo, one of the members of TWICE, is known as a huge foodie, and one of her favorite food in Korea is Jokbal, which is pig's feet. So we brought something that she would get fond of this time!
Hakdam is a place that treats premium jjim in Sinchon. Jjim is a style of Korean cuisine that steams ingredients and braise or smother in either gochujang or ganjang based sauce. One of its signature menus is Hakjjim, which they invented themselves. It is a mixture of Schweinshaxe, which is the German version of Jokbal, and gochujang-based Jjim.
They use pig's calf for the dish. The outer part is full of collagen. It is so chewy and elastic, which is the beauty of pig's feet. But the inner part was so soft that you wouldn't need a tooth to finish it. When you get a little satiated with the soft meat, its sides kick in. Fried rice cakes, peppers, and veggies give diversity in the texture of the dish. As the jjim is gochujang-based, fries go perfectly with the sauce just like when you eat them with tteokbokki. The sauce was a bit spicy, but they give you steamed egg and mayonnaise-based salad to neutralize the spiciness.
As a person who is waiting for "Taste of Love," I imagined Hakjjim, which is an ideal mixture of pig's feet and jjim, would be an example of the taste. So if I ever get lucky enough to recommend a place to TWICE, I would not hesitate to refer Hakjjim to them because the dish was as refreshing as love. Haha! So, if you want to know what the taste of love is like, Hakdam is the place you would want to visit.

Kumkang Makguksu 금강 막국수
A must-visit makguksu (buckwheat noodle) place if you ever visit Gapyeong, especially during warm or hot weathers.
This restaurant is hidden in the very rural area of Gapyeong; however, many continuously visit this place for its delicious makguksu and its traditional vibe. The restaurant building is like a traditional Korean house, and you will have to take off your shoes when you enter the dining room.
Makguksu is a little similar to naengmyun (cold noodle). The difference is that makguksu has high concentation of buckwheat flour in its noodles giving its texture and name meaning "rough noodles." Makguksu is also served with kimchi broth unlike naengmyun.
Pour some cold kimchi broth into the makguksu and add vinegar and mustard at your preference. You can also order su-yuk (boiled pork) which many order to eat with the makguksu.

Doori Sanjang 둘이산장
Sanjang meaning cabin or lodge in Korean is located right by a mountain stream, so you can eat, drink, and feel the nature at the same time.
Seafood pancake is very thick and the combination with Korean traditional liquor called makgeoli tastes like heaven. Makgeoli can be described as rice wine as it is pure but a bit viscous due to rice.
Chicken soup, called Baeksuk, used to be a traditional Korean chicken dish before the fried ones. People used to revitalize their health by eating the milky-white chicken and pure broth. All the side dishes are also delicious so I recommend to eat the lean chicken meat with Kimchi or cucumber pickles.
If you are sick of staying home because of COVID-19 but too lazy to go far away for a break from city, Doori Sanjang is a go-to place. Rejuvenate your body with healthy food and feel the fresh air

Cheongchun Yechan 청춘예찬
Cheongchun Yechan, which can be translated to an ode to youth in English, is a place that sells 'deung-galbi'. Located in an alley of Wangsimni, it has been loved by locals for about a decade. Its walls are covered with movie posters in the 1970s and 1980s. Such a decent throw-back.
Let's cut to the chase. Its main menu is 'deung-galbi', which is back ribs. As you take a seat and order the menu, they give you a working glove and a vinyl glove for each person. Wear the vinyl one on the working glove and wait until they serve you a pile of roasted back ribs.
They have two kinds of ribs: marinated back ribs and spicy back ribs. We recommend you to order the marinated one because they will give you the spicy sauce anyways. The back ribs have a decent, sweet taste with a charcoal scent. Try dipping a rib in the spicy sauce. The sauce has a kick. Gnawing on ribs adds a little fun to the experience on top of the taste.
End the meal with 'Yonggung Ramyun'. 'Yonggung' is where the king of the sea resides in Korean fairy tales. The ramyun is served with a huge pile of clams in it. Bet the king of the sea would love it too. He is missing out a lot.

ABOVE ELEVEN BAR & RESTAURANT - BALI
Inspired by the design of Central Park New York, Above Eleven presents a rooftop with a unique concept. To get to the seating area, you have to go through a maze decorated with artificial plants complete with dim lights that make the atmosphere feel more romantic. Arriving at the rooftop area, the feel of "green" is still felt by the decorative lights in the form of tree branches. Unique! Above Eleven is also suitable to visit with your little one. While parents enjoy cocktails while looking at the view of Jimbaran Bay at sunset, the little ones can relax in the Gramercy Park area which is equipped with a large screen to show various films. Not only is the design unique, the dishes served here are also unusual. In fact, this is the first restaurant in Bali that serves Peruvian and Japanese cuisine, known as Nikkei cuisine. In terms of taste, just try the Anticucho Beef Heart and Acebichado Roll. You definitely won't be disappointed!

Gimjin Moksam 김진목삼
How about some pork moksal (shoulder) and hangjungsal(jowl) after visiting Gyeongbokgung?
Located near Gyeonbokgung Palace, this small pork barbecue restaurant is always packed with customers.
They only have 3 kinds of pork: moksal(shoulder), samgyubsal(belly), and hangjungsal(jowl).
We ordered the moksal and the hangjungsal.
You can tell that they use great quality meat once you place a piece into your mouth. The meat, with such soft texture, will be gone in a matter of seconds.
You can't leave out jjigae and naengmyun when eating pork barbecue in Korea. We ordered a dwenjang jjigae(spicy bean soup) with rice and a bibim naengmyun(spicy cold noodles). Try eating the grilled meat with the naengmyun!

Munhwa Yanggopchang 문화양곱창
If you have only eaten seafood, noodle dishes, hangover rice and pork soup in Busan, you have missed the ultimate gourmet experience!
Yanggopchang, meaning grilled beef tripe, is a very popular dish among Koreans for its juicy taste and chewy texture. Due to its greasiness and the sizzling sounds on the grill, yanggopchang goes well with soju, beer, somaek - whatever alcohol you want
One interesting fact about this restaurant is that once you go inside, each zone is owned by different ajummas. They all have slightly different styles of selling yanggopchang, but I recommend B-6 as the ajumma is witty and nice
Assorted grill consisted of yanggopchang (beef tripe), makchang (abomasum), and yeomtong (heart) is the most popular menu. As you order up, ajumma will mix the parts in a sweet and sour soy-garlic sauce and she will be in charge of the table so you just have to eat up! For me, yanggopchang’s greasiness and chewy texture attract me the most.
When you are so full that you cannot even stand up, this is when ajumma pulls out her trump card. She slices up the homemade Kimchi and rolls up rice balls to finish the whole feast. The Kimchi rice balls are so tasty that you have to eat them for sure.

Tangui Shin Hongdaepo 탕의 신 홍대포
Summer in Korea is hot and humid. Despite the ridiculous heat and humidity, we figured to function nevertheless with 'Boshin', an old tradition in Korean cuisine. Boshin means having a nutritious meal that helps increase stamina rejuvenate the body. We boil down meats with various oriental medicinal herbs in a soup for hours to make boshin food. Samgyetang, ginseng chicken soup, is probably the most popular boshin food in Korea.
The food I brought this time is something more than samgyetang. Haecheontang is a unique soup with a diversity of ingredients such as chicken, abalones, an octopus, and various kinds of clams. Hongdaepo was originated from Donghae, which is a city on the East coast of South Korea. The inventor of the dish intended to put everything good that belongs to the sky and sea.
The dish overwhelmed us from the beginning. They put a whole octopus on the top of the soup. Abalones and clams in the soup were all fresh as well. After a while, they cut the octopus before it gets too chewy. Thanks to that, we were able to have octopus with an ideal texture. Besides the octopus, the tang had so many kinds of seafood such as abalones and scallops. As the soup was boiled, they added a deeper flavor to it.
As we finished seafood, we could find a whole chicken at the bottom of the soup. It was so boiled that it was almost mushy. Since we were quite full with all the seafood, we were not sure if we could finish it, but its mushy texture helped because it was easily swallowed.

Sogchosang Daegu 속초생대구
Summer is coming so why don’t we go out to Sokcho to feel the ocean breeze, drink, and eat delicious food for a perfect summer vacance?
Daegu, meaning cod in Korean, is thoroughly and braised in a clean white soup with water parsley. The fish meat is so lean and chewy that you cannot stop eating! The clean broth is so savory and so it is perfect for a hangover cure
Another must-order dish is a cod pancake. Thick cod fillets covered in flour and egg yolk are deeply griddled into bite-sized pancakes, so they are great to chew on. They are delicious themselves and with rice and Kimchi!
Have you heard of a herring caviar? Little red roe are salted with pepper and they taste like little heaven as they pop in my mouth. I recommend you to try eating rice on seaweed with a spoonful of herring caviar. I bet that you will not stop eating this
If you are looking for a gourmet restaurant in Sokcho, Sogchosang Daegu must be on your list as it was entitled on Blue Ribbon Survey for more than 5 years.

HWDK Sangchu Twigim 현완단겸 상추튀김
Gwangju, the city of light, is the biggest city in Jeolla-do, the Southwest part of Korea. As Jeolla-do has been rich in ingredients, its cities have a lot of delicacies. So does Gwangju. Sangchu Twigim is one of the delicacies you can find in the city. Sangchu Twigim is a unique style of eating fries found mainly in Gwangju; you wrap lettuce around them. (Twigim means fries in Korean!)
Hyeon Wan Dan Gyeom Sangchu Twigim is the biggest Sangchu Twigim chain in Korea. It had an interesting interior that reminded visitors of fast-food restaurants in the 1990s. There was no significant difference between the place and bunsik places elsewhere in Korea when it comes to the menu besides two aspects. First, they serve lettuce with fries. Second, they serve chojang (sweet and sour pepper paste) with Sundae (Korean Sausage). We ordered assorted fries instead of lettuce twigim to experience various types of fries from the place.
There are various ways of experiencing sangchu twigim. You wrap fries with lettuce. You can put chopped pepper and onion pickled in soy sauce in the wrap as well. I liked it when I put a piece of ddeokbokki in the wrap. The dish was pleasant with various fries including pork, squid, boiled eggs, sweet potatoes, and glass noodles in seaweed. They added diverse textures to it.
Another wow moment of the place is that they give you chojang (sweet and sour pepper paste) with a sundae (Korean sausage). It is a unique style of eating the food you can find in Jeolla-do. As a person from Seoul, I was used to dipping sundaes in salt or ddeokbokki sauce. Dipping the sausage in the paste was very new to me as well. As soon as I put it in the mouth, I was able to tell why they dip it in chojang. The paste added a delightful balance to the sausage. I got fond of it on the first try.

Mungae-hangari 문개항아리
Octopus or seafood ramyuns are popular dishes many tourists find when they visit Jeju. I have tried seafood ramyuns at about four places in Jeju, and so far I find this place to be the best.
The octopus ramyun here contains a large half portion of octopus. They serve you the ramyun with tongs and scissors for you to cut the four large tentacles into small pieces before you eat the ramyun.
At first, I was worried that the octopus might be chewy and a little tough; in contrast, it was extremely soft and easy to eat together with the noodles. The ramyun also had a piece of crab and shrimp to add a richer seafood taste to the ramyun, but don't mind too much eating them as they contain little meat and are difficult to eat. Finish the ramyun by adding the little scoop of rice into the soup after you eat most of the noodles.

JUMANA RESTAURANT - BALI
Ju Ma Na Bali is located in the Banyan Tree resort area. The location of the restaurant is right on top of a cliff as high as 70 meters. It will surely amaze visitors with the scenery that is presented. The design wrapped in beige-white color and large wooden doors make the color of the room so contrast with the blue Indian Ocean. Consisting of a main restaurant and bar, Jumana offers an a la carte menu in a romantic setting on two floors. If you come during the day, you may be greeted by the hot sun. But no need to worry because there is a cooling air conditioner. Even though you are in an indoor room, you will still be able to enjoy the view that spoils the eyes, accompanied by the strains of contemporary music in the style of Ju Ma Na. Contemporary art sculptures with rattan chairs complement the interior of Ju-Ma-Na. If you come at night, try to choose an outdoor place, where there is a wide wooden deck as the best place to relax. Before starting dinner, you can first try Jumana's signature cocktails while relaxing on the high terrace or lounge. Taste fresh martinis and cocktails or champagne in a glass with a bowl of strawberries and 'ginger caviar'. The menu at Jumana Bali tends to be French styled with a touch of Japanese style. Wonderful Dining in Paris, ASPIC Restaurants♥
Located In
24 rue de la Tour D Auvergne, 75009 Paris France
I don't words can truly do justice to how great our evening at ASPIC was, but here goes nothing...
My companion and I arrived punctually for the 19:30 sitting. We were greeted warmly by a friendly host who immediately made us feel at ease and laid the foundations for what we had in store. Immediately the front of house team built a rapport with us through their highly personable interactions.
Shortly thereafter we were presented with our first course, as well as our first wine pairing. Immediately we were satisfied and knew the six dishes to follow would be sublime. The food just kept getting better and better with every dish, with the enjoyment levels building until we were in outright euphoria come the final few dishes. The atmosphere in the small venue reflected this also, we could feel the tables around us starting to become more energised as we built up to the crescendo.
The whole experience felt like a carefully paced and planned journey. Like a fine piece of music, the peaks and troughs were spaced out to perfection. The metronomic replacement of bread (which in itself was perfect) provided the beat, whilst the dishes took the place of choruses. The chefs bringing the food to us directly and explaining passionately what they had created for us bridged the gaps.
Whilst the food took centre stage and was the main takeaway from the evening, the wider experience elevated the evening to perfection levels. ASPIC craft food as art, and distribute it directly to the end recipient, who on the evening in question, was thankfully a very happy me!
Lately, in Paris, finding a taxi has become quite challenging and we needed 2 taxis! Anyway we made it on time, as it was emphasized! The place is small and unassuming, but the meal was excellent. Subtle flavors, refined executions, superb quality of ingredients, notably the langoustines and the pork (pluma). Very good service and a nice chat with the cook completed our experience…however we had even more trouble finding transport to go back, because it had started to rain! After 2 of us managed to grab a passing taxi, the remaining three were contemplating spending the night on the banquettes ! The very nice and helpful manager then went out in the rain and, after a while, came back with a taxi! We were extremely grateful and we left as very satisfied customers!

Mayfair Garden, Indian food with a Parisian😋
Mayfair Garden, Incredible Indian Food in Paris
Located In
An actual Indian, with amazing flavours, and service...in Paris... wow!
We made a last minute decision to go out and cake across Mayfair Garden, partly because of its gluten free offering and had one of the best Indians we have ever had!
Service was just brilliant, decor was tasteful and upmarket and the food...oh the food... was fantastic. We couldn’t decide between the menu choices and there was indeed a number of gluten free options- the staff also happy to help with this.
Would highly recommend- you won’t be disappointed. Already looking forward to the next visit!
Near the end of our stay in Paris, and after much discussion of where to eat after a big day of sight seeing, my wife and I settled on Mayfair Garden near our hotel in the Trocadero neighborhood. And what a delightful choice it turned out to be! Located on a quiet side street, the interior of the restaurant was bright and impeccably clean and welcoming. We knew we were in for a treat when our samosas arrived. They were beautiful and unique, surrounded by chickpeas and onions with a hint of pomegranate, yet they remained unmistakably samosas. The rest of the meal followed that same pattern, with thoughtful and delicious interpretations of classic dishes with a touch of Paris in each. All in all, the best Indian meal I have ever had.
The owner and the wait staff were friendly and attentive. When next we return to Paris we will come back to Mayfair Garden.
