Pathumwan Princess is a 5-star hotel is easily accessible via the National Stadium BTS train station. It is also directly connected to the MBK shopping mall, which was a convenient choice for our stay. The hotel also has a luxurious lounge where guests staying in executive categories can enjoy complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails. If you are the type of person who enjoys fluffy and bouncy pancakes like me, I highly recommend this restaurant at Bugis Junction that specializes in making the perfect Japanese soufflé pancakes. Literally the main thing on their menu. You can have these pancakes in either a savoury or sweet dish. I opted to try them with eggs benedict and wow, did it taste good! Soft and mildly sweet, plus the eggs were cooked wonderfully. Definitely check this out (but do know that prices are on the high side too)! If you are looking for the best hot pot dining experience, you should go for Hai Di Lao restaurant known for their soups! There are many outlets and the one we visited was at 313 Somerset shopping mall, which has extra value-added facilities like a nail spa parlour and a kids toys playroom. Of course, the food is very good! You can choose from beef, pork, fish, prawns and many more, easy ordering via the iPad. Condiments, sauces, side dishes and desserts were also free-flow. If you are visiting Vietnam, you have to put Pizza 4Ps Cafe on your to-try travel itinerary! It is such a famous brand that they now have over 30 stores across the country. What I like about this cafe is that if you can’t decide what pizza flavours to pick, you can always select a few and have them all in one single pizza! Of course this costs a little bit more but it’s worth it. And the quality of the food is beyond yummy! The pasta and fried chicken we had were super flavourful and well-cooked. This cafe called Day & Night Of Phuket is a highly-rated cafe situated in Talat Yai close to Old Phuket Town. I was completely blown away by the decor and design of the place. What a sophisticated ambience it felt like! In terms of the food, some dishes were nicer than others. They have a wide variety in their menu that covers western and local Thai cuisine. You can also order yummy cocktails from the bar. Opening hours are 11am to 12am every day. In the evenings, they also have a lovely live band that plays chill bossa nova top 40s song covers. We visited the iconic Dubai Mall, which had a magnificent Christmas tree . The weather was mild, a pleasant escape, allowing us to enjoy outdoor activities. On Christmas Eve, we enjoyed a lavish dinner at a hotel, complete with seasonal delicacies. Though Dubai doesn't have the traditional snow-filled Christmas, the atmosphere was warm, vibrant, and full of joy, making our holiday season truly magical. If you are looking for interesting places to have a fun night out, I highly recommend this interactive games shop called King & The Pawn! It is perfect for families, groups of friends or even a couple date night. Make a reservation with them and feel free to use any of the many board games available. The staff will even introduce games and explain how to play them. Some of them also facilitate the games and had fun along with us! Food and drinks can also be ordered to enjoy while playing the games. We had such a good time bonding with each other. Only wished the space would’ve been larger so it won’t feel so squeezy! One of the things to experience in Vietnam is dining in a little alleyway eatery! This one is Choi Oi Noodle located at Le Thanh Ton and they specialize in Japanese ramen. The tonkotsu ramen is a definite must-try here. Its pork bone broth is so flavourful and hearty, perfect to eat in the rainy weather. We also tried the gyoza which tasted awesome. It is open from 11am to 2.30am on most days and until 3am on other days. There was a queue when we went as there aren’t many seats available, so be prepared to wait a little. The Christmas season is upon Raffles City shopping mall! You can really feel the festive vibes and atmosphere just walking through the different spaces. Many decorations are up and there are even interactive photo booths for the perfect Instagram opportunity! Frying Fish Club is a fairly new fish and chips shop located at Owen Road in Singapore. They have different flavours to choose from, like seaweed, mentaiko and original! The ambience is quite cosy, with a slight modern Japanese inspiration. It was nice and quiet on a weeknight. If you are feeling up for it, you can even go for the premium fish that is specially flown in from Japan! It is an oily type of fish though. During our time in Lucerne, we visited Mount Rigi, often called the "Queen of the Mountains," as the journey was included with the Swiss Rail Travel Pass. Our adventure began with a 30-minute train ride from Lucerne's main station (Luzern Bahnhof) to Arth-Goldau. From there, we boarded a cogwheel train that provided a stunning, scenic ascent to the summit of Mount Rigi.
