Each of these islands has a unique charm, and a boat tour allowed us to experience the best of each. #boattour - Ile Moyenne is known for its incredible natural beauty and rich biodiversity. Walking around the island, you can see giant tortoises roaming freely, adding a truly exotic feel to the lush environment. #environment #tortoise - Long Island delivered some of the clearest, turquoise waters we have ever seen. We anchored here for some snorkelling, which felt like swimming in an aquarium filled with colourful fish, coral reefs and the occasional turtle passing by. #snorkeling #coralreef - Cerf Island was our lunch spot, where we dove inti the flavours of Seychelles! We tried locally-prepared seafood dishes - which gave us a taste of authentic island cuisine! 🌅 To end the day on a high note, we headed back to Mahé and drove to Rock Pool Seafood Bar & Grill for a memorable dinner with a view. This spot is known for its fresh seafood, laid-back atmosphere and unforgettable sunsets. You can’t leave without trying the local Creole cuisine - grilled fish and coconut curry where highlights! #localfood 🌴 We continued our biking adventure to L’Union Estate, where we learned about vanilla production and met some friendly giant tortoises. #localguides #tortoise 🌅 As the day wrapped up, we returned to Anse Source d’Argent to watch the sunset. The colours were absolutely breathtaking - definitely a moment I will cherish forever! Na Pa Hai is a lowland valley surrounded by impressive mountains, there is a large lake in the middles encircled by vast grasslands. The grass is green, the air is fresh, the water is pure, the sky is blue, and the animals are free. Although, none of that compares to what makes this place really special. What makes this place extra special is that the environment, animals and community are cared for vigorously by the locals. Our friendly hotelier informed us that; While still selling horse rides and pictures with lambs and yaks to tourists, the animals are required to be rotated every lunch, and are to be kept in fields with size regulations. Local hotels and eateries only use/sell locally sourced food and water to support farmers.
