Yuantong Zen Temple in Zhonghe, New Taipei City
Yuantong Zen Temple is a historic Buddhist temple located in Zhonghe District, New Taipei City. It was founded in 1926 and took 51 years to complete. The temple is situated on Baijie Mountain at an altitude of 180 meters, offering a majestic view of Guanyin Mountain in Wugu. The temple features pure Buddhist architectural style, using stones and sand from the mountain, and incorporates elements of Tang and Japanese styles, showcasing Taiwan's history and culture. Upon climbing the steps in front of the temple and passing two large statues of lions and elephants, you can directly see the grand statue of Maitreya Buddha, who gazes benevolently over the Taipei Basin. The plaque above bears the inscription 'Delight All Hearts.' Inside the temple, Shakyamuni Buddha is enshrined. Additionally, there are a library, bell tower, wall carvings, and other buildings and artworks worth admiring. However, like many of Taiwan's mountain areas, the serene environment is sometimes disturbed by the loud karaoke sounds from nearby. Moreover, the numerous new apartment buildings constructed on the mountain over the past 20 years have significantly diminished the scenic beauty.

Hongludi Nanshan Fude Temple
Hongludi Nanshan Fude Temple, commonly referred to as Hongludi Earth God Temple or simply Hongludi (the place name representing the temple), is a temple located in Zhonghe District, New Taipei City. It is situated on the mountainside of Nanshijiao Mountain (Hongludi Mountain) at an altitude of 330 meters, hence the name Nanshan.
During the Qing Dynasty, the Lu family, Hakka people from Zhao'an, Fujian, crossed the sea to Taiwan. The second generation settled in the Nanshijiao area, which became the Lu family's property. Due to a large rock at the foot of Nanshijiao Mountain, the place was named Hongludi. Many tea farmers in the mountainous area built a small shrine to worship the Earth God for peace. At that time, the mountain roads were rugged and difficult to traverse, so few outsiders visited. From the 1950s to the 1970s, the temple underwent three reconstructions, gradually forming its current scale. The legend of the Earth God responding to prayers spread, making the temple increasingly popular and well-known.
Visitors can not only worship the Earth God but also hike the Xiaobaiyue Nanshijiao Mountain behind the temple or enjoy the scenery in front of the main hall, with different charms during the day and night.

🌊 The must-visit floating mosque in Sabah - Kota Kinabalu Municipal Mosque ⛲️✨
#temple
When you come to Sabah, Malaysia, you must go to the City Mosque. This mosque is famous for its white exterior walls and blue roofs. It stands on a beautiful artificial lake, like a dreamy picture. 🏞️💙
Approaching the mosque, the first thing that catches your eye is the stunning scenery: the blue roof and white walls look particularly charming against the setting sun. When you see the reflection of the mosque reflected on the lake, it forms a romantic and spectacular scene that makes people want to capture this moment with a camera. 📸🌅
Before entering the mosque to visit, you must change into traditional Islamic clothing. Although I'm a little uncomfortable wearing it, I feel like a little model, which is so funny! 😉✨This experience not only gave me a deeper understanding of the local culture, but also left me with an unforgettable memory.

2024 Sabah trip
The most impromptu flash mob💫tour
Decide on location two days before departure
Buy your ticket one day before departure🛫
Make a hotel reservation that morning
Just do whatever you want without thinking too much
Day 1
It was already early morning when we arrived on the first day
There is no need to take photos or take finger prints or other complicated procedures to pass the customs.
It took ten minutes to successfully pass the customs and collect my luggage🧳
I have to appreciate the efficiency of the immigration staff.
Probably because I want to get off work earlier🫢
I rushed back to the hotel and ordered Grab takeaway.
Day 2
I ate some fish soup noodles 🐟
Ordinary Tongsheng is a little bit air-conditioned🤏
In order to have some attractions in this itinerary
Then we arrived at the Pink Mosque of Sabah University to check in.
During this period, I was sold by the staff to take a golf cart tour of the university campus.
University Park is really big
Taking a ride in a car is also a good option
After the visit, we went to You Kee to eat Bak Kut Teh.
Then go to the very famous Tanjung Aru Beach to have a glass of wine and watch the world-class sunset🌅
Unfortunately it was a bit cloudy that day
I couldn’t see the big salted egg yolk
When it gets dark, we go to eat seafood
Seafood 🦐 fresh but taste mediocre
But the price is absolutely amazing
There are shrimps, crabs🦀, fish and vegetables for more than 100 Hong Kong dollars
This price doesn’t seem to allow for too much fussiness.
Among them, the salted egg yolk bitter melon is my favorite
Not as crispy as bitter melon at all
Salty and crispy drink 🍻First class
After eating, go shopping at the mall near the hotel
Clear the store at ten o'clock
This is the colorful night😌
The hotel Sky bar has a good atmosphere at night
Listening to music ended a whole day's journey

Tibet | The Spiritual Home in Every Tibetan's Heart.
In Lhasa, you often see devout Buddhists prostrating every three steps. Many people think they are heading to the Potala Palace for pilgrimage, but in fact, the ultimate spiritual destination for every Tibetan and Buddhist is the Jokhang Temple. In the hearts of the Tibetan people, the Jokhang Temple holds far more significance than the Potala Palace and even has a supreme status in Tibetan Buddhism. The story dates back to the 7th century.
In the 7th century, Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo married Princess Bhrikuti of Nepal and Princess Wencheng of the Tang Dynasty. The two princesses brought with them the most precious dowries: an 8-year-old and a 12-year-old statue of Sakyamuni, respectively. To house these statues, Songtsen Gampo ordered the construction of the Jokhang Temple and the Ramoche Temple. The Jokhang Temple enshrines the 12-year-old statue of Sakyamuni, which is said to be modeled after Sakyamuni himself and consecrated by him. To the Tibetan people, seeing this statue is like seeing the Buddha from 2,500 years ago. Therefore, the Jokhang Temple has become a place where Tibetans come to worship daily, making it the "spiritual center of the city" of Lhasa and the most sacred temple in Tibet.

Silver Pagoda|Xishuangbanna Boruo Temple has a clear dress code
Visit Boruo Temple (Boruo Pagoda) in Jinghong City, Xishuangbanna. Boruo Temple is not large and differs from many travel bloggers' descriptions online. If you want to take photos here, it is recommended to first offer incense or simply pay respects to show respect (personal opinion).
Boruo Temple has a clear dress code (e.g., no short skirts). During the visit, you can still hear monks reminding visitors through loudspeakers to put on jackets and not to take photos in tank tops.
Sometimes, we need to think from a different perspective. Although taking photos here is beautiful, I hope everyone does not just chase 'traffic' and 'enthusiastically check-in'.
💞Brief History of Boruo Pagoda
In the 3rd century BCE, the third king of the Maurya Dynasty, Ashoka, unified most of India, creating the largest empire in Indian history. Ashoka was a devout Buddhist, generously supporting monks and sending nine missionary groups to spread Buddhism domestically and abroad. The eighth group reached Suvarnabhumi, which includes Lower Burma and Central and Southern Thailand. Later, Buddhism spread to Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and other Southeast Asian countries. In the 7th century CE, Buddhism was introduced to the Dai and Sirang ethnic groups in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province, China, and has been passed down to this day.
In the 295th year of the Dai calendar (833 CE), Elder Phra Maha Ananda led a group of monks to Xishuangbanna to spread Buddhism. With the support of King Chao Phongmara, and the villagers led by Phra Yajeng of Manzhen Village, Phra Yabalanmashan of Manying Village, and Phra Lanmapongong of Manzhuangxie Village, they built the Boruo Pagoda. The pagoda's core is 122 feet deep (about 8.5 meters), and it is said to enshrine two strands of the Buddha's hair. From 1628 to 1644 CE, the pagoda was rebuilt, and four Buddha relics were placed in its core.
