Taoyuan. Guishan District | REBORN Guishan Planting Laboratory
The "REBORN Guishan Plant Art Laboratory", which was officially opened in October, is the first local creation project founded by the architectural lifestyle brand @apricity.dev. The laboratory transformed an old American-style house into an aesthetic museum and held various exhibitions with the theme of plants. The original swimming pool in the outdoor area has been converted into a cafe called RëBORN CAFE, surrounded by trees and paths, creating a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. It is worth mentioning that RëBORN CAFE is the sister store of RëBORN CAFE. It provides a variety of drinks, and the drinks are finally provided to guests in easy-to-open cans.
Coming here is like providing a place for us who are busy running around in the city to stop and breathe. It makes people feel as if they are far away from the hustle and bustle and feel the purity and beauty of nature.

Taiwan Shifen Waterfall Day Tour
During a trip to Taiwan, the Yesji, Yesjingi, and Yespokji tours are popular and cost-effective day tours. You can take a bus for a day and choose to visit places like Yehliu, Shifen, Shifen Waterfall, Jinguashi, and Jiufen according to your preferences and make a reservation.
I went on the Yespokji tour, which included Shifen and Shifen Waterfall. Shifen Waterfall is a place where you can enjoy the refreshing waterfall while savoring Taiwan's fresh fruits and sausages.
Shopping for Souvenirs in Jiufen
1️⃣ Jiufen Ah Xin's Shop Ginger Tea
- Mango Jelly, Lychee Jelly
This jelly shop can be found by walking straight along the entrance line of Jiufen. The price is 1000 TWD for 5 pieces.
Both the mango jelly and lychee jelly are not too sweet, making them a good choice for a post-meal treat.
Each piece is individually wrapped, which is nice. The size is not small, and it comes with a separate spoon.
2️⃣ Misty Nougat Crackers Jiufen Branch (米詩堤甜點王國)
There are two types of boxes: small and large. The large box contains 25 nougat crackers, while the small box contains 15.
3️⃣ Xing Fu Tang Jiufen
Xing Fu Tang is a famous bubble tea shop in Taiwan. Fortunately, there is a Xing Fu Tang at the entrance of Jiufen, so I tried a cup. Normally, it costs 100 TWD, but in Jiufen, it's a bit cheaper at 90 TWD.

Located diagonally opposite to He Ping Chicken Rice, 'Little Fox' is a hidden gem recommended by local friends. The second floor of this Japanese-style old house retains its wooden structure. Although there are not many seats, once you try it, you'll fall in love and want to visit again ☺️.
The owner always serves incredibly cute and delicious desserts, with surprises every time. How can they be so amazing ❤️?
The pudding is incredibly smooth, and the filling of the 'Cloud Cake' is pineapple and lemon custard. Initially, I thought it might taste artificial, but it turned out to be a layered, sweet and sour delight. In short, He Ping is delicious, and crossing the street for dessert afterward is such a great combination ✌️.

The path to Shifen Waterfall is adorned with large bridges and sculptures decorated with red talismans. In Taiwan, red talismans symbolize good fortune, so while the atmosphere might seem a bit eerie, there's no need to worry.
The waterfall's strong flow creates a refreshing coolness that can be felt even from a distance.
I joined a one-day tour of Yehliu, Shifen, Shifen Waterfall, Jinguashi, and Jiufen. You can choose your preferred destinations from these five spots.

- It's close to Taipei Main Station, making it convenient for taking the MRT Airport Line to the airport on the first and last days.
One downside is that while the view is great, the interior feels a bit cramped. However, it wasn't a major inconvenience during the stay.
Check-in can be done via a machine, with staff available to assist. No deposit is required, but a passport check is necessary. Note that smoking incurs a 5,000 TWD fine.
Breakfast is served on the 2nd floor, offering a variety of foods to enjoy.

I went because I was curious about what it was like. I went in confused and lined up. They asked me if I wanted to open a table or not. They recommended that I didn't go, I just went along with it. The entrance fee was about 650 twd/th and I got a wristband. When I went in, the music was super EDM. The atmosphere inside was super dark. Hey everyone, the wristband I got was for me to line up for a buffet of drinks. I found the line where they got my drinks. There were both alcoholic and cocktails for us to choose from. If you drink a lot, you'll get drunk. I could refill it as much as I wanted. LOL
For party lovers, go try it out. Don't think too much, just enjoy it. Consider it a one-time trip. LOL

Hongkan Dim Sum is a local dim sum restaurant located in Ximen Station. The interior is spacious and feels like a fancy Chinese restaurant, and the staff is friendly, which is nice.
There were many families who ate here, and if you visit during dinner time, there is a waiting line.
I ate a total of 4 kinds of dim sum and egg tarts, and I was full and it wasn't too expensive, so I ate without feeling burdened. 🩵

New year Celebrations in Taiwan

2023 Lunar New Year celebrations was held at Dr.Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall in Taiwan.
It was one of the most magnificent celebrations I have ever seen in my life. Everywhere was bright and there were many important figures.
Even though it was very crowded, it was very enjoyable. There were constantly changing animations on the exterior of the Taipei 101 building.
I also tasted many different street food here. I definitely want to attend every year.
In 2024 February, I want to go Beijing to see new year celebrations.

Brio Hotel’s room size is pretty small but cozy! It is suitable for individual stay or for 2 pax. The size might be a little cramped if there are too many luggages but that is not a big problem for me.
Bed is a queen-size bed for this particular room type and has a comfortable sofa-like chair at the side!
The smart TV can access to YouTube and Netflix which is a bonus for some guests!

Beautiful view of the teapot mountain trail just sad that we didn't make it to the top. Ee run out of time as our tour guide will pick up us shortly so we have to rush down we only managed to get halfway through where almost there but hopefully nxt time when we come back we will make it to the top im sure at the peak is more beautiful than this view. The Golden Waterfalls!
It's not a very big waterfall but it's definitely quite unique and interesting. It is a place and a reminder of times past when mining was an important activity in this area. A place that you can’t ignore. A wonderful creatures that should be discovered🩵
It's not that very big but it's definitely worth a quick photo stop - being unique and interesting. The colour is from contamination by heavy metals but is beautiful in the sun. I would love to go there again and enjoy sightseeing.

POV: I Took a Day Trip to Sun Moon Lake
- I arrived at Taipei Main Station at 9am and 10am train tickets were sold out to Taichung so had to wait until 11am. My ticket cost 375 NTD one way.
- I got there at 1:15pm. Then, I got a bus from Gancheng Station about 10 mins from Taichung Railway Station but it stopped there anyway.
- Make sure you have coins for the bus it cost 190 NTD. The staff were so kind and felt the service wasn’t good enough and told me I only needed to pay 100NTD! I left at 1:45pm and arrived at 3:25pm.
- There is a nice view from the Starbucks. Tenren Tea is also next to it but not sure if there is a view from there.
- It was too late to get a bike as shops close at 6pm. Got a boat for 300NTD to visit three points and was told to be back for 6pm.
- Arrived at 4:20pm at Xuanugguan Pier. Small walk uphill to see a temple. You just need about 30 minutes here. Left at around 5pm.
- As I moved over to Ita Thao Pier, there was commentary provided but it was all in Chinese. There is a nice pagoda and temple along the route.
- At Ita Thao, I got there at about 5:15pm so I really only had 45 minutes. There is a short trail along towards the rope way which closes at 3pm. Wear bug spray around your ankles because you will get bitten!
- Overall the area is nice but I would recommend staying overnight to really enjoy it or else booking everything well in advance and getting up very early.
- It was nice to see the rowing team on the water and water skiers as well.
- I was on the 6pm boat back and arrived at Shuishe by 6:20pm. I got a pizza at Moon Restaurant and they charged my phone for me.
- I left Sheuishe at 7:25pm on last bus and arrived at Taichung HSR Station at 9pm . I had to pay 700NTD for my train which left around 9:30pm and arrived at Taipei Station at 10:30pm.

Also, there is a path on the way where you can go hiking and a coffee shop where you can relax when you are tired.

• I looked at Google Maps, came out of the alley, walked a little on the main road, and a street lined with restaurants appeared. Among them, I visited a place called #Jipinxiarenfan (#集品蝦仁飯).
• There are many delicious foods in Tainan, but I was personally very curious about this food. After confirming that it was a real local restaurant frequented by many locals, I went inside, sat down, and wrote an order form. Almost immediately, they brought it to me in a bowl. I was hungry, so I quickly took a picture and ate a spoonful of #shrimp rice or #shrimp roe rice. It was really good~
• First of all, the rice itself was cooked in shrimp broth, so every time I chewed a grain of rice, the savory taste of shrimp filled my mouth. There were even a lot of shrimp, so I kept chewing on the chewy shrimp meat.

Inako Valley View restaurants (伊拿谷景觀餐廳) is one of the famous restaurant located in Nantou, Taiwan where both Taiwanese and tourists go to to have their meals!
We make a reservation with the restaurant for dinner and was suggested by them that if we are ordering their whole chicken, do let them know during the phone reservation. If not, you may have to wait for an hour.
We were seated by the window and we enjoyed the dinner with a good view. We manage to catch the sunset as well!
We went ahead with their dinner set menu which comprises soup, vegetables whole chicken, fish and 2 bowl of rice. The pricing of their set menu is pretty reasonable and they have different number of pax set menu too.
