Advice: Go early, as the place is large and takes a long time. To see all the animals, there are seats to rest, and places to buy snacks. The price of tickets is okay. Recommend booking in advance. Getting There - It is about 15KM and 25 to 30 minutes of driving from Kuala Lumpur City Centre. Attractions - Varieties of mammals, reptiles, birds, panda, African Wildlfe and many more. You can even pet some of the exotic reptiles. Hotels - I would recommend travellers to stay at Kuala Lumpur City center hotels. Many hotels and Inn can be found there. The main attraction that drew me to drive all the way from Penang to Kuala Lumpur was to pay Yiyi and Shengyi(giant pandas) a visit before they are to be sent back to China. With given only 15 minutes in the Panda Observatory, I decided to scroll around the zoo and I ended up spending more than 4 hours taking shots on the animals inside this “kingdom”. This trip is worth with the ticket price of RM36(booked online) inclusive of a 30 minutes animal shows. Fun trip to Zoo Negara with my fam. Kids enjoying it so much as they can see wild animals with their own eyes and learned to know more about its nearly extinction species and it make them appreciate it more. There's a lot of animals at the zoo such as lion, tiger, cheetah, giraffes, elephants, birds, monkey, crocodiles, snakes, penguins and the most awaits for is the pandas. Such a cozy and quiet setting for the pandas to match their natural habitat. The animals show are so fun to watch. The schedule is at 11am and 3pm. The sea lion is so smart and cute. I've been dreaming going to zoo negara since in my primary school. My first visit was with my first love. It's hot but he still agreed to the plan. The show was amazing and the animals show their skill and attract people. I get stunt to see those animals, see them in real life and my favourite is the cute panda. Staying at ibis hotel Kuala Lumpur is quite near the beach zoo negara. About 20 mins to reach there. It was my first time visiting Zoo Negara! I visited Zoo Negara on the 31st of August- Independence Day! It was full of people. I enjoyed the animal show a lot despite having to stand and watch the show due to the large crowd. I also took the tram to go around the zoo. The highlight of the zoo visit is the Panda Area!
