The Spirit of Christmas
The Spirit of Christmas - This 5,000 sq ft, store is more than Canada's largest year round Christmas store. We have gifts & collectables for all special occasions such as Halloween, Easter, Valentine's Birthdays, Weddings, as well as Banff Rocky Mountain and Canadian souvenirs. You' ll find Department 56 Villages and Snowbabies, Jim Shore, Dave Francis hand-carved one-of-a kind creations and more!
What can I say - love Christmas shops at any time, but this is one of the best! It's huge, has loads of choices and at the price you're prepared to pay. Needless to say, I managed to find something I simply couldn't live without and it will be a delight come December when it does out on display.
Not often that walking into a shop makes you smile, but this one does!! Go and have a look, even if you don't buy, it's just great walking around the place.

Banff Downtown at Night
Banff National Park is Canada's first national park, established in 1885 as Rocky Mountains Park. Located in Alberta's Rocky Mountains, 110–180 kilometres (68–112 mi) west of Calgary, Banff encompasses 6,641 square kilometres (2,564 sq mi)of mountainous terrain, with many glaciers and ice fields, dense coniferous forest, and alpine landscapes. Provincial forests and Yoho National Park are neighbours to the west, while Kootenay National Park is located to the south and Kananaskis Country to the southeast. The main commercial centre of the park is the town of Banff, in the Bow River valley.
Banff National Park is the most visited Alberta tourist destination and one of the most visited national parks in North America, with more than three million tourists annually. Tourism in Banff contributes an estimated CA$6 billion annually to the economy.
A park pass is required for stopping in the park, and permit checks are common during the summer months, especially at Lake Louise and the start of the Icefields Parkway. A permit is not required if travelling straight through the park without stopping. Approximately 5 million people pass through Banff annually on the Trans-Canada Highway without stopping.
In 2009, Banff Lake Louise Tourism hoped the appearance of the "Crasher Squirrel" internet meme would stimulate interest in the park.
The meme is based on a photograph of a Minnesotan couple visiting the park on the shore of Lake Minnewanka that was "crashed" by a Columbian ground squirrel; the photograph was published in major news sources around the world and the image of the squirrel was digitally manipulated into humorous photos.

Enchanting Hike at Johnston Canyon
The total length of Johnston Canyon is about 2.6km, which serves as an amazing but not too tiring hike. You get to see all kinds of geological views covered with beautiful snow, including canyon, creek, waterfall, cliffs. Immersed in the sound of the waterfall, I felt all my worries disappeared. I’m so grateful to have witnessed this gorgeous view in my life.
Length: 2.6km
Time: 1.5-2 hours
Level: easy
‼️Make sure to have ice grippers on your shoes when visiting here. It can be super slippery walking on hike.
