Raining rain go away, come again another day 🎶 With limited activities to do on a rainy day, I decided to visit the Swiss National Museum, Zurich (adult ticket price: 13 CHF). The museum holds a wide variety of unique artifacts that reflects the Swiss history. On the day I visited, I went to the permanent exhibition to get an insight of Switzerland’s history and archeological findings across the country. At the same time, the limited exhibition called Colonial presented Switzerland’s role and its global entanglements during the colonial period. The weather in Kyoto is amazing,the sky is clear and it’s windy.from Osaka station to Kyoto station is only gonna take about an hour via JR west railway. It’s easy to go around once you arrive at the Kyoto station. There’s bus station & subway just outside of the station. KFC, indomart, all the restaurants and minimarts also Eska spa just downstairs. Nagoya mall is 5 mins via grab which cost only $1.90 😍 Our favourite hotel to come for short getaway with our toddler, the hotel staffs recognised us whenever we come to stay as we are regulars 😁 Room is perfect and clean, we always book the one with balcony facing the pool as we have a toddler so she can go in and out to the balcony to maximise her energy and curiosity! Room service is great but singapore price! Shower is amazing as they have rain shower and strong water pressure. Spa is amazing and good pricing similar to Eska downstairs. Breakfast is always amazing with lots of varieties from local cuisine to western to japanese. Downside - hotel is near mosque so you can hear the call to prayer and quran recital in the morning and evening. Also if you stay on weekends there will be a weekend market next to the hotel in an open space parking lot. It can be quite noisy especially if your room is facing the city view which is the parking space view. Otherwise all is great!#2024

📍High Island Reservoir East Dam🏞 📌 Situated at the southeastern end of Sai Kung and built in the 1970s, High Island Reservoir is the largest reservoir in Hong Kong. It is surrounded by some of the city’s most scenic country parks and pristine beaches. 📌The eerily beautiful hexagonal volcanic columns visible along the coast of the East Dam of High Island Reservoir are not seen anywhere else in Hong Kong. The hexagonal columns were formed 140 million years ago due to a catastrophic volcanic eruption, in which the tuff eventually cooled and solidified to form the rock columns. Today, these remnants are one of the most spectacular natural wonders of the world. In fact, it is designated as one of the 12 main sites in Hong Kong’s UNESCO Global Geopark. georgetown penang is quite famous of its clan jetty. some of the most popular is Chew Jetty (pic 3-10) and Tan Jetty (pic 1, 2, 11), which is only a few minutes walk from the art street. there is also a parking lot near the jetty costed RM5 per entry. riding a bicycle is highly recommended! There are people living in the houses in the clan jetty, however most of the houses along Chew Jetty were empty, turned into souvenir shops, cafes and also homestay. I highly recommend to get your souvenirs here as the price are cheaper than other attractions, and it is easy to bargain if you buy a lot~ Chew Jetty also offers a boat trip, to see georgetown from the sea. You can buy tour tickets at the shop at the end of the jetty. There is no shops in Tan Jetty however the view is worth the walk (1st and 2nd pic). Last pic is along the way toward Tan Jetty. The must try food and also their signature is the seafood put in a bamboo and is tomyam flavour. The staff serves the food to our table with the dry ice on the bottom which is a very special dish. Besides that, they do sell the noodles, you can choose your own type of noodles and the soup base such as tomyam, clear soup etc .. Lastly, must end your meal with some dessert, we have tried their steamed rice cake wrap with yam pasta inside.
