Feels like a dream in Milford sounds
#falltrip
#fallingseason
Milford Sound, maybe my favorite place on earth 🏔? It's like nature decided to show off its most breathtaking masterpiece. As we cruised through the tranquil waters, surrounded by towering cliffs veiled in mist, I couldn't help but be spellbound.
The sheer majesty of the waterfalls cascading down from dizzying heights left us in awe. Nature seemed to have a playful spirit, sending sprays of water that danced in the sunlight, creating rainbows that felt almost touchable. The resident wildlife, from seals basking on rocks to dolphins gracefully gliding alongside our boat, added a touch of enchantment to the experience.
What struck me most was the profound silence that enveloped Milford Sound, broken only by the occasional call of a distant bird. It was a symphony of serenity, a moment of pure connection with the natural world. As I looked up, the clouds parted, revealing the iconic Mitre Peak, standing tall and proud against the sky. It was a sight that etched itself into my memory, a postcard moment brought to life.
Milford Sound isn't just a destination; it's a journey into the heart of New Zealand's wilderness, a place where every curve reveals a new wonder. If you're seeking a soul-stirring encounter with nature, Milford Sound is not just a must-visit—it's a must-experience
China is more beautiful than I remembered
#fallingseason
I left China in 2008 and didn’t return until this Sept. For 15 years I travelled all around Europe and Australasian, and didn’t set foot on the soil of China. Once I arrived back in China this Sept, I was taken away by the beauty of the traditional landscaped gardens in Suzhou and the night lights of Zhouzhuang….. Don’t skip a trip to China if you are planning a trip to Asia. You will taken away by its diversity in historical architecture and natural landscape, just like I was 😀

The autumn at Nara Deer Park
#fallingseason
Nara Park has been a famous tourist spot for the roaming deers around the park, but what is more mesmerizing is the autumn foliages at the park, where you can take the portrait with the deer behind the scene. It has been said that the deers are descendants of the Deer God, and considered sacred animal within that area. There are approximately 1200 deers roaming around freely and they are very friendly to tourists, although several cases of tackle and headbutt happened before. There are also deer crackers available for sale and all proceeds will be used for the maintainence of the wellbeing for the deers.
P.S.: Try to take a bow in front of the deer and you will expect a bow from them in return.
kanoko coffee
#fallingseason
Stumbling upon Kanoko by chance turned out to be a serendipitous choice for us that morning. Our initial quest for a delectable latte led us to the discovery of not just a delightful latte but also the heavenly Lotus Biscoff😫😫. Even as I type this, the memory of its deliciousness lingers🤣.
Our visit was centered around morning coffee (with a hopeful expectation for a PANG promo, which unfortunately wasn't there WKWKWK). Arriving to a tranquil and cool ambience in the Dago Asri complex, amidst elite boarding houses and lush greenery, added to the overall charm.
Kanoko's unique exterior and interior, dominated by white hues and intertwined with trees, further enhanced the experience.
Opting for the fruity variant from the Hot Latte menu, it felt like ages since I'd savored a latte with such a delightful fruity twist.
Highly recommended!👌🏻✨
Lapu-Lapu and Magellan Shrine
The Mactan Shrine, located on Mactan Island, just off the coast of Cebu City, is a must-see for everyone interested in Philippine history. It commemorates the Battle of Mactan that took place in 1521 between the Spanish and the Visayan (central Philippines) native people, along with paintings and plaques about that battle, it also contains two other important shrines - the Lapu Lapu Shrine and the Magellan Shrine.
Although Magellan is now regarded by many Filipino historians as the "enemy" who was killed by Lapu Lapu, Magellan is still remembered as the person who brought Christianity to the Philippines (commemorated by Magellan's Cross Memorial in Cebu City) and as the commander of the fleet which achieved the first ever circumnavigation of the earth.

Kochia season and Apple picking
Adventure from Tokyo to Hitachi Seaside Park in Ibaraki, Japan to see the vast fields of vivid flowers. Delight in seasonal fruit picking at a local farm.
Have you heard of these cute pom pom plants called “Kochia”?? If you are seeking to see something a bit different from ordinary autumn leaves, this could be the perfect choice. The tremendous 350 ha field is filled with 32,000 Kochia balls making a spectacular scenery at the Miharashi Hill in Hitachi Seaside Park in Ibaraki Prefecture.
Kochia balls are planted at the Miharashi Hill in June, and grow their size from 15 cm to 70–80 cm during summer. They gradually turn their colour from green to red from July to October.
September to November is Autumn harvest time in Ibaraki, the perfect time to enjoy picking your own sweet and juicy apples straight from the tree at one of Ibaraki's many apple orchards.
There are A LOT of apples in a tree and these are really heavy! They are huge, unlike those apples we have in abundance at our local supermarkets.
The experience of choosing your own from the trees and picking them off is just different. You could either have them on the spot (knives and tables are provided) or take them home.
1kg of apples is ¥600 and this is actually quite reasonable! I’ve seen Japanese apples going at 2 for $9 in our local supermarket.

Tate Liverpool: A Gallery of Endless Wonder 🎨
#fallingseason Stepped into the kaleidoscopic realm of Tate Liverpool, where the river's rhythm harmonized with artistic beats. "Ripples of Imagination" greeted me, an exhibit transcending boundaries. Modern brilliance danced alongside classics; a visual dialogue across eras unfolded. Turner's ethereal strokes embraced Hockney's vivid hues, creating a timeless dialogue. Each gallery, a portal into creativity's vast expanse. The whispers of visitors and the brush of air carried the spirit of artistic communion. Tate Liverpool, not just a gallery but a living tapestry of inspiration. Amidst its walls, I found my soul pirouetting in the ballet of artistic expression. #TateTales #LiverpoolCanvas
Nagano Autumn Trip last year
Autumn is one of the most beautiful times of the year in Nagano. Visitors from around the country flock to Nagano’s highlands and mountainous areas for momiji-gari (autumn leaf-viewing). The many ropeways around the prefecture make it easy to see golden alpine scenery or hike around the Japanese Alps.
From September through November, autumn colors slowly spread from the mountain tops to the valley and head south. Below are some of Nagano’s best places to see autumn scenery. Enjoy Nagano’s Autumn Scenery by Ropeway.
I came here with my friend last year and it's so good to remember. We joined a bus tour from Tokyo.

🌳 Frieze Sculpture in The Regent's Park 🌳
#fallingseason Strolled through the verdant embrace of The Regent's Park, where nature and art entwined in a mesmerizing dance. Fizer's sculptures adorned the landscape, each piece a harmony of form and tranquility. "Harmony in Chaos" stood tall, a testament to balance amid life's tumult. The bronze curves of "Ephemeral Echoes" whispered tales of fleeting moments. As the sun painted the sky in hues of warmth, I meandered through this outdoor gallery, where every step was a brushstroke in a canvas of greenery. Fizer's sculptures, like silent poets, rendered the park a sanctuary of contemplation. #SculptedSerenity #RegentsParkReverie

Stunning church in Barcelona’s Born
One of the old quarter areas of Barcelona, el Born, guards one of the most impressive religious constructions, the Basilica of Santa Maria Del Mar
This construction dates back to the 14th century and it was built in Gothic style. The legend says that it was fully financed by humble people who lived in this neighborhood, most of them fishermen, given that in those times the sea was right next to the area.
It is absolutely stunning to witness the tall towers from the surrounding alleys, a contrast of narrow streets and tall slender towers that is eye-catching and worth photographing.
Inside the view is also magnificent with very robust yet simple decoration and engraving it provides the sensation of divine.

Bookstore cafe in Barcelona’s Raval
La Central Bookstore in Raval neighborhood, in downtown Barcelona, is one of the nicest places where to step out of the stressful and bustling city life, sit back, relax, grab a book a coffee and snack and spend a calm afternoon.
The bookstore is inside a beautiful gothic style building that preserves the big stone walls and high ceilings. But it is specially beautiful the inner courtyards where you can find a seat order a coffee and enjoy the calm of the space.
One of the patios even has a big tall palm tree, a rare find in downtown Barcelona, and a few green parrots 🦜 chilling around.
Keep an eye to a small section in a corner of a patio with a selection of books that are on discount.

Beautiful Autumn View of Changdeokgung
#fallingseason
There were a lot of people on Deoksugung Stonewall-gil, maybe because of a market event or originally, but the upper part of Jeongdong-gil was much more. It was good to walk quietly and take pictures whenever office workers avoid lunch time because it's a weekday. Ewha Girls' High School, which has a beautiful red brick building, has a pretty name, and the building suits Jeongdong-gil well, right? The 100th anniversary hall is extraordinary from the entrance. And it's a ginkgo tree, and it's showing off a huge scale.
