Lisbon city break 🗺️
#traveldiaries
Just got back from an amazing city break in Lisbon, and it completely exceeded my expectations! 🥰 This city has such a cool vibe with its mix of old-world charm and modern energy. I spent hours wandering through the narrow streets of Alfama, stumbling upon hidden cafes and listening to Fado music drifting from open windows 🎶. One of the highlights was taking Tram 28 (€3), which rattles through the historic neighborhoods – it's a bit touristy but totally worth it for the views and experience.
I also visited the Belém Tower and Jerónimos Monastery; both are stunning and steeped in history. The combo ticket for both sites was €12, which felt like a good deal. The Pasteis de Belém is nearby, so of course, I had to try the famous custard tarts, and they did not disappoint! 🥮 The city’s nightlife was fantastic too, especially in the Bairro Alto area where bars and clubs spill out onto the streets. Lisbon is definitely a city I want to revisit. #trip #Lisbon #CityBreak #TravelPortugal #Wanderlust #LisboaAdventures
Ericeira, Portugal’s Surfing Town 🏄♂️🌊
After a perfect skiing holiday in Austria, our family journey brought us to Portugal, specifically to the renowned surfing town of Ericeira. This town is famous for its beautiful beaches and excellent surfing conditions, making it a paradise for surf enthusiasts🏄♀️.
Ericeira is not only spectacular for its seascapes but also rich in surfing culture. Our family tried surfing here; although Sienna is still young, she had a great time playing on the beach, while we enjoyed the unforgettable thrill of surfing.
The atmosphere in this town is incredibly relaxed and joyful, with surprises around every corner. We explored the local markets, savored delicious seafood, and felt the warmth of Portuguese hospitality at every moment.
One of the highlights of our trip was the sunset in Ericeira. Standing on the beach, watching the sun slowly dip below the horizon while the waves gently lapped the shore, made the world seem extraordinarily peaceful and beautiful.
Have you ever visited a surfing sanctuary like Ericeira? Or do you have a dream surfing destination? Feel free to share your story!

Residential houses in Lisbon 🗺️
#myhiddengems
Wandering through the residential neighborhoods of Lisbon was one of the most charming experiences of my trip! 🏠🇵🇹 The narrow cobblestone streets, lined with pastel-colored houses, each with their unique tiles (azulejos), and wrought-iron balconies overflowing with flowers, felt like stepping back in time. 🌸 The local vibe was authentic, with neighbors chatting across windows and small bakeries selling fresh pastries. Walking around Alfama and Bairro Alto, I stumbled upon hidden gems, like tiny cafes and street art. The best part? Exploring these neighborhoods is free! If you're in Lisbon, don't miss a chance to wander off the beaten path and soak up the local atmosphere. #trip #LisbonLiving #PortugueseCharm #StreetWander #HiddenGems #TravelPortugal
Calouste Gulbenkian Museum 🗺️
#museums
The Calouste Gulbenkian Museum in Lisbon was a standout experience on my summer trip to Portugal. Located in the city’s Areeiro district, the entrance fee is around €10, and it’s well worth it for the rich collection housed here.
The museum boasts a remarkable assortment of art, from Egyptian artifacts to European paintings by masters like Rembrandt and Monet. The well-curated exhibits and the beautiful garden surrounding the museum create a peaceful and enriching visit.
After exploring the museum, I enjoyed a leisurely walk in the nearby Eduardo VII Park. The Gulbenkian Museum is perfect for art and history enthusiasts seeking a diverse cultural experience in Lisbon. 🖼️🌿
