Zhangye’s Buddhist Temple
If in Zhangye, I’m sure you’re here for the Mati temple, the Grand Canyon, and the Rainbow mountain but this place is also nice. If you have a bit of time (all you need is about one hour), go and visit the Big Buddha Temple!
How to get there - During my time in Zhangye, I had a private driver. There’s most likely a bus that could drop you off near the temple but taking a DiDi is always convenient.
Attraction - There are a few temples and some beautiful flowers. Have a nice little stroll and enjoy the beauty of this scenic spot. 😊
Cost - If I remember correctly, the ticket was about 40-50¥.

Zhangye’s Stunning Mati Temple
Mati Temple is one of the most famous scenic spots in Zhangye. The temple is located over 50km from Zhangye city making it difficult and very long to get there by bus. If you can, hire a driver for your journey.
Opening Hours: 08:30-18:00
Tickets: 73 RMB/person
📍Address: Sunan Yugu Nationality autonomous county, Zhangye, Gansu
⏰Recommended time: 2-3.5 hours. There are quite a few stairs so it depends on how fast you can go. I recommend just taking your time and taking in the beautiful landscape as well as the grottoes.

Ganzhou Night Market - Zhangye
Welcome to Zhangye’s Ganzhou Night Market!
Just like the vast majority of cities in China, Zhangye has quite a few night markets. I didn’t have enough time to explore them all but the one I went to was pretty good!
Whenever I visit a city or a province I’ve never been to, I always ask what the typical dishes/drinks are.
I was told to try the apricot juice and the yogurt. Both were sold at this market and I was pleasantly surprised!
At the market , you can also find typical street food such as meat skewers, bread, nuts, and other typical Chinese delicacies.
Enjoy! 😊

Wooden Pagoda Temple - Zhangye
Location - The wooden pagoda temple is located pretty much in the city center of Zhangye. It isn’t too far from the Giant Buddha temple so I’d suggest visiting both scenic sites the same day.
Attraction - If you go there during the day, you can go up the pagoda and enjoy the view. The view itself isn’t that phenomenal but if you have time to do it, why not?!
If you go there at night, you cannot go up, so if you have time, go during the day and at night.
Cost - 25¥
*FYI, the stairs are very steep. Be careful! 😊

Shangxiajiu Neon Lights
Shangxiajiu Walk Night at its best!
Shangxiajiu is one of the most busiest pedestrian streets in Guangzhou. With long walk of 1,240 meters, it’s packed with clothes shops, shoes shops and snack shop also good old restaurants.
Day trip walk around Shangxiajiu is a bit crowded so I prefer going to Shangxiajiu at night because of it’s beautiful neon lights! Its glowing lights feels you back to old school neons and watching old China. Best come early evening as they turn off lights around 11PM.
Transport to Shangxiajiu by metro Line 8 Cultural Park Exit E, Hualinsi Buddhist Temple Line 8 Exit E.

Cable Car and Nature
Changshan mountain is know for its 19 peaks and 18 streams its lies on the west of Dali and Erhai Lake. It’s best to hike around the month of May and June. Also watching water streams and blowing wind makes you feel relaxed outside the city.
Getting to the top the easiest way is tru cable car it’s also a best choice to see the whole city of Dali. A bit windy while riding the cable car but it’s worth the view of the city.
Best to bring snacks and water as it’s bit expensive to buy at the mountain and there are too much stairs to go up also don’t bring too much stuffs.
Transport to Changshan Mountain is still best to take Didi/Taxi so you won’t get lost.
Take a breath!

Sacred Heart Cathedral - Guangzhou
Sacred Heart Cathedral is located at 56, Yide Road, Yuexiu District,Guangzhou, China.
It is known as the "Stone House" by the locals, and I think it is because the entire cathedral was built with granite blocks.
Mysterious atmosphere and colorful glass windows. Truly a magnificent place in the city.
To Get There you can take the subway Line 2 or 6 to Haizhu Square and exit at B2, then continue to walk (enjoying the beautiful buildings on the way) about half a kilometer and it will be on your right.
A lot of small shops around the area - we bought delicious dried fruit from the store next door.

GZ Big Buddha Temple - The most beautiful
Guangzhou Big Buddha Temple is the MOST beautiful, and the biggest temple I’ve ever seen in China so far.
In Chinese it is called: 大佛寺 - Which literally means Grand Buddha Temple. It is located in Yuexiu District, Guangzhou. (basically - Beijing road pedestrian street)
The building is absolutely gorgeous in the evening as you can see in the pictures, I was amazed by the way it looks.
Definitely worth your time to go over and see this amazing building at least once! even if you are not really interested in temple etc. You can still enjoy the beauty of the building in the evening with the lights.
another thing that I think is making the temple to stand out and look even more beautiful is that is it surrounded by modern buildings and constructions from all sides.

Tie Dyeing
Centuries of Art
Zhou Cheng Village is the biggest town for Bai people it is 23 kilometers north of Ancient Town of Dali.
They are famous for making tie dyeing. It’s a traditional craft of the Bai people.
My experience it’s fun feels like when I’m back in high school doing some school projects dyeing clothes but Bai’s art is different they have different patterns and colors for each cloth.
Also you can visit some temples around the village called YinXiang Temple and Longquan Temple.
Best to visit Zhou Cheng Village is by Didi/taxi not a very commercial place.

Hardin
One of the best residential garden I’ve seen in Dali is the Zhang Family Garden it’s typical Bai residential house north side of the Buddhist temple.
The house it’s rich of Bai’s history and culture specially the beautiful flowering garden around the area. It’s too AAAA scenic spot in Dali
To get there you can take No.4 bus and take off at Guanyingtang Station. Or it’s best to take DiDi/taxi for more comfi travel. But it’s best to rent a electric bicycle to ride around.
I highly recommended visiting Zhang Family Garden!
Enjoy!

Gorgeous Hakka dance
Hakka culture is very prominent in the South of China and the Guangdong provinces. From their old architecture of their buildings, to their way of living, and to their very enchanting and colorful dance routines. I've seen a really nice presentation of Hakka dance in Gold Water cave in Yangshuo. ❤️
Men and women dressed up in those colorful traditional costume, dancing to the beat of the sound of those big size drums. Some of them were chanting while the others do the choreography gracefully. My eyes were full. 😍😍😍
Ticket price is 15rmb.

LiangBanCai!
Huaihua’s delicate spicy salad!
Its spicy but it’s deliciously spicy! 8 years ago I’m not a fan of spicy! but one day all of my friends are eating spicy food so I don’t have a choice! We are eating in a restaurant her in Guangzhou called “Ludingji” they serve this delicious fried frog (also it’s my first time to eat frog on that time) and sour boneless fish the taste is a blast! Very delicious and delicate!
Hunan Huaihuas Langbancai is also wonderful! You’ll get to choose what you want to put into your snack! It’s like malatang of Huaihua! After choosing you give it to the store chef to mixed it with spices! You can tell him to not to put too much chili! My experience even I already told him not spicy it’s still spicy!
You can’t feel or taste Huaihuas delicacy if it’s not the original taste or not spicy! China’s spices and food are very wonderful!
Try one day!

Welcome to Hallstatt Town, Huizhou, China
Hallstatt Town or also called Austrian style town, is a very beautiful place located in Boluo, Huizhou city, Guangdong Province.
It is actually a recreation of Hallstatt, Austria. In Hallstatt Town, Huizhou you can find street cafes, flower shops, art shops, and churches. There is a Wax museum as well, where you can take pictures or just see real size figures of some celebrities.
I think it is very well recreated as it really feels like Europe there.
Also there is a Beautiful lake where you can walk or go for a run.

Climbing up Small Wutong ❤️
Hiking Wutong Mountain is one of the most popular activity here in Shenzhen. They say its a great way to get exercise and breathtaking vistas. It is located in Luohu district in Shenzhen.
There are 3 main peaks, namely the Small Wutong, Bean curd head, and the Great Wutong.
Great Wutong is the highest peak in Shenzhen with a 943.7 meters altitude (3,096ft) while Small Wutong is is 200 meters lower than the Great Wutong.
For a first timer hiker like me, its a better option to try to climb first the Small Wutong.
Dont get twisted, Small Wutong is pretty high too. And climbing it took me 3 hours and 45minutes to be exact. I took the West hiking route starting from the Wutong archway, all the way to the Greenway, to the Small Wutong peak, and went down to those veryyyyy steep and challenging stairs goin to South entrance. Descending took me 2 hours. The hazy atmosphere makes it harder because the road and trails are slippery.
Fog and mist will welcome you as soon a you reach the peak. Its windy and the temperature definitely is way cooler than at the foot of the mountain. They say in a clear day, you can see the rolling hills clearly and the dense forest below.
I will definitely comeback. For my second climb, will try to reach the pinnacle of Great Wutong.
Jiayou! ❤️

Sun and Moon Mountain-Nyima Dawa La (Tibetan)
1. Riyue Mountain
Address - Huangyuan County, Xining, Qinghai Provinve, China
Highlights - Princess Wencheng statue , Temple, Museum
Rating - 4star
The legendary story behind this geographic travel spot is the relationship between Han-Chinese princess Wencheng and Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo from 7th century. On her way to marry the king, the queen looked into a magic mirror with a sun-moon design to see her future family. But unfortunately, she only sees herself in the mirror. Out of agony, she breaks the mirror and the Daotang River flowing in unusual east to west direction, originates from her tears.

Hefei’s Cutest Coffee Shop
📍Getting There - This tiny coffee shop is located in Binhu. I live in Binhu so I rode my ebike. From the downtown area, it would take you about 40mins to get there.
On Dianping, you can type 野间咖啡 and you will find it.
This is the address: 安徽省-合肥市-包河区-南宁路金水风情街ES4-108号
Attractions - It is a very nice quiet coffee shop. There’s a nice little patio on the 3rd floor.
Food - The food menu consists mainly of typical coffee shop items such as cake and bagels.
Drinks - They serve coffee and beers. I was especially pleasantly surprised by their extensive beer selection.
Enjoy! 😊

Zenith’s Rooftop restaurant- Stunning view
📍Getting there - The restaurant is located on the rooftop of the Maritime hotel in Binhu. The view is absolutely incredible. From city center, it should take you about 30-35 mins to get there (If there’s no traffic). Once you get there, go to the hotel’s lobby and go to the 54th floor.
🍝 Food - The menu is quite extensive but a bit pricey. I had the spaghetti bolognese and it was pretty good. You can also get a steak, lamb chops, and seafood.
🥂 Drinks - The beer menu is ordinary. When I went there, they said they weren’t serving cocktails on that day which was very disappointing. it seems like they have a decent selection.

Zhongshan park, Sz ❤️
Considered the oldest park in the whole Shenzhen, Zhongshan park is screaming beauty, serenity, and history...
It is founded and built in the year 1925. Zhongshan or commonly known as Sun Yat Sen is a well known figure in China. And a lot of parks around the country named after him, this one included. This park has a big tribute to the man, as it has the biggest head figure of Zhongshan in China.
The 30,000 square meters artificial (man-made) lake is the focal point of the park. A large green area for picnics or for relaxing kite-flying, statues and figures scattered all over the park. Colorful flowers and tall trees and luscious greens covers the entire park. A very charming place to unwind and relax.
Entrance fee is absolutely FREE!
Visit it. Dont forget your masks.
