A mosaic of contrasting urban characters 🇨🇿 👫😎
#urbanwanderings
Prague, the heart of the Czech Republic, reveals itself as a mosaic of contrasting urban characters. Beyond the iconic Charles Bridge and Prague Castle, the city unfolds in layers of history and culture. Wandering through Old Town’s medieval maze, I discovered ornate Gothic churches and the enchanting Astronomical Clock. Across the Vltava River, Malá Strana’s baroque charm felt like stepping into a painting. Meanwhile, the modernity of Vinohrady introduced a refreshing vibe with its stylish cafés and vibrant streets. Each district, from the cobblestones of Josefov to the greenery of Letná Park, told a unique story. Prague isn’t one city—it’s a tapestry of experiences that left me endlessly inspired.
Enjoyed with family at Hotel Evenue M Johor Bharu
Staying at Avenue M Hotel was enjoyable - the slides at the pool brought back fun childhood memories, the room was comfortable, well-maintained, and pretty huge for the price, ensuring a restful night’s sleep without breaking the bank. Towels smelt like fresh laundry, if that's your kind of thing too! Breakfast spread was decent, offering a variety of local options to suit different tastes. Especially enjoyed the nasi lemak sambal, and the freshly-prepared omelette with extra onions.

Wandering through Düsseldorf, Germany, is an absolute delight. This lovely and beautiful city seamlessly blends modernity with charm. The Rhine Promenade is perfect for a leisurely stroll, offering stunning river views and vibrant cafes. The Altstadt, known as the “longest bar in the world,” is packed with historic architecture, lively pubs, and local culture. I particularly enjoyed the striking modern art and design in MedienHafen, where contemporary buildings create a unique skyline. Königsallee, the city’s famous luxury shopping street lined with trees and canals, adds a touch of elegance. With its vibrant atmosphere, cultural landmarks, and picturesque streets, Düsseldorf is a captivating city to explore on foot.
A fascinating destination for urban wanderings🇭🇷👫
#urbanwanderings
The Croatian Museum of Naïve Art in Zagreb is a fascinating destination for urban wanderings. As the world’s first museum dedicated to this unique art style, it showcases works by self-taught artists who express raw creativity and emotion. The vibrant paintings and sculptures, often inspired by rural life and folklore, reflect a refreshing simplicity that’s deeply captivating. Wandering through the museum, I was struck by the artists’ ability to convey profound messages through unrefined techniques. The intimate setting enhances the experience, allowing visitors to connect with the artworks on a personal level. It’s a truly interesting place, offering a fresh perspective on art and a deeper appreciation for creative expression.

As we were walking around one of the famous streets in Guangzhou - Yong Qing Fang, we stumble upon this unique shop without knowing what is it at first.

#urbanwanderings
I spent an incredible day exploring the vibrant urban sights of Phu Quoc. This place feels like stepping into a colorful, lively dream. Walking along the streets, I was greeted by beautifully painted buildings in pastel shades, each one more charming than the last. The architecture reminded me of a mix of European-style streets with a modern twist.
The canal area stole my heart. With its gentle bridges and sparkling water, it was the perfect spot to pause and enjoy the beauty around me. The shops and cafes lining the canal added so much life, offering everything from local souvenirs to cozy spots to relax.
What stood out the most were the artistic sculptures scattered throughout. From the quirky and fun to the grand and inspiring, each one had a story to tell. One sculpture of a serene face caught my attention—it felt like it symbolized the peace and creativity of this unique place.
I also explored Grand World, which was a mix of traditional and contemporary designs. The grand bamboo structure at the entrance felt like a gateway to something magical. There were also touches of Vietnamese culture everywhere, like the lotus lanterns and intricate gateways, which reminded me of the country's rich heritage.
Phu Quoc has such a vibrant and artistic energy. It’s the kind of place where every corner has something to discover. This trip has been a perfect blend of relaxation and inspiration!
