A trip to Ipoh will not be a complete one if you do not visit the famous Concubine Lane. Along the lane, there are many stalls where you can buy different types of food such as the rainbow cheese toast, honey ice ball, tau fu fa and also cotton candy. As a Harry Potter fan, i did not miss the chance to visit the Platf9rm Coffee Cafe at the Concubine Lane where I ordered the butterbeer float and iced caffe latte. The price wise is it is affordable. Here at the cafe you can rent the wizardry robes and props to take picture. Other than that, I also get to visit Ipoh Night Market where I get to try the viral tomyam which is Niase Tomyam. 1 bowl of tomyam and 1 bowl of noodles cost me about RM25. Saw this review on FB, come to try, parking is quite hard to find. luckily we manage to have one. we come during the weekend and lunch hour. the place is not too crowded we ask the cashier on halal status, she confirmed that they in process of applying for halal certificate , the owner is muslim, staff is muslim, and the material used also halal. food was very nice. fried prawn roll is so delicious and must try. they hae variety of chinese food such as pau, egg tart, dim sum for sure, other fried dim sum. staff was friendly and attentive location: Ipoh Dim Sum the dim sum city 163, jalan sultan idris shah, 30000 Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia #ipohfood #foodipoh #ipohfoodie #ipoh #ipohdimsum

Definitely a good spot to get a nice OOTD and grab a bite of some pastries as well as a good cup of coffee. It is located right inside Travelodge Ipoh. It’s definitely on our list to do when we visit Ipoh! There are so so many choices and restaurants to be chose from in Ipoh and all comes with pretty good review. We picked Chooi Yue Dim Sum after having a hard time choosing and we were right. We all left with happy and very full tummy. Be sure to get there early as there was already a long queue when we reached around 930 in the morning. Once we got in, we were so spoiled with choices of dim sum! We ordered the classic Char Siew Pau, egg tarts, yam puff, siew mai, carrot cake. My personal favourite would be the liu sha pau that was stuffed with piping hot, smooth, creamy and buttery filling. The fried stuff were also nicely done, those were crispy and fragrant. Not forget to mention, the price point was very very reasonable! I can’t praise enough for this restaurant. All in all, I highly recommend a visit to Chooi Yue restaurant for Dim Sum if you are in Ipoh ! It’s definitely worth the wait. #ipohfoodie #ipohdimsum #ipohtravel
