Croatia, Eastern Europe’s must-visit Plitvice Lakes, the most beautiful wonderland on earth
Croatia is located at the junction of Western, Central and Southern Europe and has many karst terrains (limestone terrain).
Plitvice Lakes is the most famous national park in Croatia and a must-visit wonderland.
Also known as Plitvice Lakes National Park
A national park famous for its lakes, alpine forests, waterfalls, caves, and hiking trails.
Certified by UNESCO in 1979❗
There is also a UNESCO stone monument at the entrance of the park. Remember to take a photo to commemorate your visit to Plitvice Lakes❗
This beautiful national park is maintained regularly, and the water quality is super clear. Walking and hiking by the charming lake while looking at the green water is actually one of the great enjoyments of life.
The photos you take casually are either reflection photos or unique scenery photos~
This place was also selected by CNN as one of the 15 secret places in the world that must be visited in life👍
I thought it was going to be very cold but it got hotter as I walked. It took me two hours to walk. Because I had to keep walking, I was sweating by the end and even took off my scarf.
I especially choose to come at the end of October because I want to enjoy the beauty of the maple leaves at the same time😘👍
Fortunately, we can both walk to Shanghu (waterfall area) and Lower Lake area. The journey takes about 4 and a half hours.
You really have to see it with your own eyes to know the beauty of this place☺️

It can be regarded as a secret attraction in Yilan~ It is close to Jiaoxi city and has convenient transportation. You can get close to the waterfall and climb the stairs to experience phytoncides. The top overlooks Lanyang. Whether you want to soak in the water to cool down in summer or take a walk in autumn or winter, Going up the river is also very romantic and healthy💕
🌟The point is that this is probably the best mountain and route I have ever seen. You can walk for more than 10 minutes to reach the popular attractions of Internet Beauty. With clear lake water and blue sky, just sit on the rocks and take a beautiful photo😍

Croatia Plitvice Lakes.
Visited Plitvice Lakes in early May
At this time, the upper lakes were already open, but there weren't many tourists, so it wasn't crowded.
We planned a day and a half at Plitvice Lakes.
Stayed at a hotel near the lower lakes, so we could rest immediately after hiking.
However, we found that if it's not peak season and there's no crowd, one day is actually enough.
We traveled with my 65-year-old parents, and it rained on the first day.
But we almost finished the hike in one day and saved the upper lakes for the second day.
We took the K route, which took us about 4 hours as a reference for everyone.
Along the way, there are various lakes and waterfalls, with incredibly clear water.
It's not very tiring to walk.
At the entrance, you can overlook the waterfalls scattered among the lakes. Don't miss it.
Tickets can be booked online or bought on-site.
(In peak season, you must buy in advance due to traffic control.)
Also, after 2 PM, no tickets are required!
It becomes a free park entry. 😂
Oh, and for those driving, be sure to watch your speed when heading to Plitvice Lakes!
We saw police ambushing by the lake for two consecutive days.
Sewu Waterfall in Indonesia
A spectacular natural attraction, here are some travel tips:
Transportation:
You can choose to depart from Surabaya, which usually takes about 3 hours by car.
Some travel agencies offer day trips or multi-day tours from Surabaya, including hotel pick-up, guide services, etc.
Best Travel Time:
March to November is the dry season in Indonesia and the best time to visit Sewu Waterfall.
Equipment Recommendations:
Wear non-slip and water-resistant shoes, such as water shoes or crocs.
Bring waterproof bags to protect electronic devices like phones and cameras.
Wear quick-drying clothes as the area around the waterfall is very humid and you can easily get wet.
Bring sunscreen, a sun hat, and sunglasses to prevent sunburn.
Prepare towels and a change of clothes.
Tour Tips:
The roads within the waterfall area can be slippery, so walk carefully.
There are several viewpoints near the waterfall where you can overlook the magnificent scenery.
You can go down to the base of the waterfall, but it requires some physical strength and courage as you need to climb rocks and cross streams.
Photography Tips:
The waterfall and surrounding tropical rainforest offer plenty of photo opportunities.
You can ask local guides to help take photos and videos, as they usually know the best spots.
Accommodation Recommendations:
You can choose to stay in nearby homestays or hotels, such as Tumpak Sewu Homestay, which offers breakfast and is about a 10-minute drive from Sewu Waterfall.
Other Attractions:
In addition to Sewu Waterfall, you can also consider visiting Mount Bromo and Mount Ijen, which can usually be combined into a multi-day trip.
Notes:
Due to the primitive environment around the waterfall, please pay attention to safety, especially on slippery roads and fast-flowing water.
Respect the local culture and environment, and do not litter.
Tour Packages:
Consider booking a multi-day tour package that includes Sewu Waterfall, Mount Bromo, and Mount Ijen to fully experience the natural beauty of Indonesia.
Snæfellsnes Peninsula: Kirkjufellsfoss and Kirkjufell! Spectacular Scenery!
The Snæfellsnes Peninsula is located in western Iceland. This time, we specifically visited Kirkjufellsfoss! Although this waterfall is not particularly special compared to other waterfalls in Iceland, it forms a unique landscape with Kirkjufell in the background! Kirkjufell is named for its triangular shape, and many tourists come here to capture the stunning views of the waterfall and the mountain. The water from the waterfall flows into a river in front of Kirkjufell, and listening to the sound of the flowing water and the waterfall, while being surrounded by such a magnificent landscape, makes me truly appreciate the wonders of nature!
I highly recommend visiting the Snæfellsnes Peninsula to experience the waterfall and mountain scenery for yourself!
Iceland's Gullfoss: Experience the Spectacular Scene in Person!
On this trip to Iceland, one of the must-visit attractions is Gullfoss, the second-largest waterfall in Iceland and a highlight of the Golden Circle! Standing on the upper viewing platform, I was truly amazed by the grandeur of this waterfall. Even from the top viewing platform, the sound of the water crashing down was already audible, showcasing the power of nature! There's also an information board about Gullfoss nearby, where you can learn about its history and details. As I slowly walked to the viewing platform, countless water droplets drifted past my eyes. If you're an adventure enthusiast, you can go to the lower viewing platform, where the closer you get, the more you can feel the majestic force of the waterfall!
In my opinion, this waterfall is definitely worth it. Experiencing Gullfoss up close is an unforgettable memory!
🇧🇷 Practical guide to Iguazu Falls in Brazil|It’s exciting from beginning to end 🌊
#Fall
After a lot of twists and turns, we finally came to the world-famous natural wonder-Iguazu Falls! This super practical guide will take you to experience the spectacular scenery of Iguazu Falls and help you plan your trip perfectly.
🚍 How to get to Iguazu Falls
• Public transportation: You can take bus No. 120 from the city. The fare is R$5 and runs every 20-30 minutes. You can pay with cash or card, and the bus terminal is at the entrance to the Bird Park and Iguazu Falls, which is very convenient. Note: The border on the map is not the entrance, the bus terminal is the entrance to the waterfall!
• Uber: If you want a more convenient way, you can take an Uber to the bird park, which costs about R$40. In the morning, you can visit the bird park before heading to the waterfall.
🎫 Iguazu ticket information
• Ticket price: R$ 100
• Ticket purchase method: There are staff at the entrance of the waterfall to guide you to purchase tickets from the self-service ticket vending machine. The ticket price includes the shuttle bus fee in the park, which is very convenient.
• Waterfall experience: If you want to participate in the waterfall experience, you can buy it at the ticket office at the second stop for 355 reais. Just arrive before 4pm to buy your tickets and attend.
🏞 Play suggestions
• The fourth stop, the Waterfall Stand: It is recommended to take the shuttle bus directly to the last stop, which is the Waterfall Stand. This is the viewing point closest to the waterfall. You can experience the spectacular scenery of the waterfall up close. It will take about an hour to take pictures.
• The third stop on the trail: If you have plenty of time and enough energy, you can go to the third stop first. There is a plank road here that allows you to walk to the waterfall for a richer experience.
• The second stop for waterfall rushing: After finishing the trail viewing, take a bus to the second stop to participate in the waterfall rushing experience. It is recommended to choose the Safari+ package, which includes a shuttle bus and waterfall viewing. It is highly recommended to choose a wet boat, because the essence of waterfall diving is to feel the powerful impact of the waterfall in person! But be careful, you will get wet all over.
⚠️ Useful tips
• Raincoat and protection: If you are not wearing waterproof clothing, it is recommended to purchase a raincoat, especially if you are closest to the waterfall, the mist will be like rain. You can also buy a raincoat at the place where you go to the waterfall for about 15 reais. If you are carrying a mobile phone or camera, it is strongly recommended to use a waterproof case to protect the device, especially since the charging port of the mobile phone is prone to water intrusion.
• Locker: It’s a good idea to keep a set of dry clothes in your locker when you’re going waterfall-bathing. Locker rentals are 10 reais, and changing into dry clothes after the waterfall will make you feel more comfortable, especially when the weather is colder.
💦 Waterfall experience
No matter what the weather is like, waterfall bathing is a must experience! Even in cold weather, the wet boat waterfall experience is definitely worth a try. It is recommended to prepare a set of dry clothes in the locker, as changing into dry clothes after getting wet will make you feel more comfortable. Although the jacket is waterproof, the pants may not be able to survive the damage.
🇦🇷 Iguazu Falls on the Argentinian side?
The Iguazu Falls on the Argentine side is also a famous attraction, but if you want to go there from the Brazilian side, you need an Argentine visa. Including customs clearance time, it is recommended to reserve at least one day to visit the Argentinian side. If you have a visa, it is highly recommended to see both waterfalls. It is said that the landscapes on both sides have their own characteristics and the experience will be more complete.
Summarize
The spectacular sight of Iguazu Falls is unforgettable. Whether you feel the impact of the waterfall up close or explore the tropical rainforest on foot, it is a refreshing natural wonder. Whether you are rushing to the waterfall or visiting the Argentinian side, it will add unforgettable memories to your trip. I hope this guide helps you plan a perfect trip to Iguazu Falls!
Fudo Waterfall
Located in Katsura Town, the Fudo Waterfall can be viewed from the inside out. It is situated within the grounds of Hoshi no Iwaya (Hoshitani Temple). The official name is 'Fudo Waterfall,' but because it can be viewed from behind, it is also known as 'Urami Waterfall.' From inside the waterfall, you can see the back of the waterfall and the statue of Kobo Daishi, as well as the buildings within the Hoshitani Temple grounds. The rock cliff that forms the waterfall is made up of layers of slanted rocks, which is one of the highlights. The area is surrounded by beautiful natural scenery and there are walking paths for easy access.
One of the highlights of my trip to Iceland - the power of nature is undeniable!
We visited many stunning waterfalls in Iceland and other countries, and Dettifoss did not disappoint. From what I understand, it is the most powerful waterfall in Europe, with a flow rate of up to 600 cubic meters per second. Before you even see it, you can sense its presence through the noise, spray, and rainbows. It is truly impressive, roaring forward over the wide cliffs, so be prepared to get wet. The day I visited, the spray and mist were intense, showcasing the raw power of nature. Make sure to hike to all the available viewpoints, as each offers a different perspective. But wear sturdy shoes (preferably waterproof) and bring a light jacket, as it can get cold and windy at times.
Since the north coast of Iceland is still not as popular as the Reykjavik area and the south coast, attractions like Dettifoss have more visitors but are not as crowded as those in the Golden Circle.
Kanjotei Waterfall
The Kanjotei Waterfall, located in Mima City, originates from a tributary of the famous Anabuki River in Japan. The waterfall resembles silver silk threads and is a habitat for the Japanese giant salamander. As you walk upstream along the Anabuki River, you can hear the calls of birds like the wagtail and the brown dipper. Enjoying the waterfall feels like becoming one with nature, but be careful not to get too close and get soaked by the spray.
10-minute Walk to See Two Waterfalls
When you visit Jiaoxi in Yilan, it's highly recommended to experience the beauty of the three-tiered waterfall at Wufengqi.
After driving to the Wufengqi parking lot and getting off, you'll find stalls selling specialty snacks, fruits, and local delicacies on both sides before reaching the entrance of the Wufengqi trail. Walk along the trail for about 5 minutes to reach the first tier of the waterfall. Due to weather and falling rocks, the water flow might be weaker. Continue walking for another 5 minutes, and you'll see the Wufeng Pavilion and hear the roaring sound of the second tier of the waterfall. You can take close-up photos and enjoy the view; it's truly beautiful!
The path up is not difficult to walk, but since the weather wasn't great that day, the ground was a bit slippery. The trail ahead was also closed, so we couldn't explore the third tier of the waterfall.
The raw power of nature • Breathtaking wonders
If you visit Iceland 🇮🇸, this powerful and majestic waterfall is an absolutely stunning place. Came on a sunny day and saw a lot of rainbows 🌈 It's crazy how powerful it is, the fog will make you wet the closer you get. Wearing raincoats, we walked towards the waterfall and climbed to the top, where we got wet for a short time, demonstrating the natural magical power of the waterfall.

Iceland: A Popular Filming Location
Iceland is renowned for its stunning landscapes, with countless beautiful sights. In the southern part of Iceland alone, you can find the Rainbow Waterfall (Skogafoss) and the Seljalandsfoss Waterfall. Each of these waterfalls has its own unique charm. The Rainbow Waterfall, facing south, is said to have a 95% chance of displaying a rainbow on sunny days, hence its name. It has also been featured in films such as 'The Secret Life of Walter Mitty' and 'Thor: The Dark World.' On the other hand, the Seljalandsfoss Waterfall has a more rugged appearance, with irregularly intersecting water streams. Visitors can even walk behind the waterfall to experience a different perspective and feel the grandeur of Seljalandsfoss.
The Magnificent Hukou Waterfall of the Yellow River—The Roar of the Yellow River
Hukou Waterfall, located at the border of Shanxi and Shaanxi provinces, is the second largest waterfall in China and the only yellow waterfall in the world. As a stunning natural wonder of the Yellow River basin, Hukou Waterfall attracts countless visitors with its majestic momentum and breathtaking scenery.
The name of the waterfall comes from its resemblance to the mouth of a kettle. Here, the Yellow River is constricted by steep cliffs on both sides, causing the turbulent river to pour down like it is being funneled through a giant kettle spout, creating a spectacular spray and a thunderous roar. Standing at the edge of the waterfall, one can feel the ground shaking, and the deafening roar of the Yellow River is awe-inspiring, making one marvel at the power of nature.
During the spring and autumn seasons, the water volume of Hukou Waterfall is at its peak, and the width of the waterfall can reach several hundred meters, with torrents of water rushing down, presenting a magnificent sight. In winter, Hukou Waterfall offers a different view, with the river water freezing into ice, resembling a giant silver dragon lying across the Yellow River, exuding a serene beauty.

Hidden Gem Waterfall~Seljalandsfoss.
This is the famous and beautiful 'walk-behind' waterfall we saw on our South Coast tour. The path to the waterfall has handrails and is easy to walk. But as you get closer, the path loses its handrails, and you have to climb over large wet rocks to reach a muddy trail that leads behind the waterfall. Our guide warned us that it was very slippery here. It was raining and very windy the day we went. Despite having hiking boots, we didn't want to take the risk. We weren't the only ones who didn't walk behind; many young people also decided not to.
Please note that the entire path is not easy. Waterproof raincoats with hoods, waterproof pants, and waterproof hiking boots are also not easy.

Kegon Falls, located in Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture, is one of Japan's three famous waterfalls, alongside Fukuroda Falls in Ibaraki Prefecture and Nachi Falls in Wakayama Prefecture. The water source of Kegon Falls comes from Lake Chuzenji, where the lake water cascades down a 97-meter-high cliff, creating a spectacular waterfall scene. The waterfall is surrounded by dense forests, offering different sceneries in each season: lush greenery in spring, cool and refreshing in summer, vibrant autumn leaves in fall, and hanging icicles in winter, making it a breathtaking sight. Visitors can take an elevator to the viewing platform at the base of the waterfall to experience the majestic force and splashing water up close. Kegon Falls was designated as a National Scenic Spot in Japan in 1931 and was selected as one of Japan's Top 100 Geological Sites in 2007. It is a must-visit attraction in the Nikko area.
Kegon Falls offers different beautiful sceneries throughout the year, but the best time to visit is in autumn (October to November) when the mountains are covered with vibrant autumn leaves, making the scenery particularly magnificent. Winter at Kegon Falls has its unique charm, with the surrounding water forming spectacular icicles, creating a beautiful blue ice scene. These icicles sparkle in the sunlight, resembling crystal-clear crystals. 【Nantou】Shuanglong Suspension Bridge: Majestic Mountain Views, Avoid the Holiday Crowds. 【August Destination 2024】
Shuanglong Suspension Bridge is located in Xinyi Township, Nantou County, and is a popular tourist attraction. This suspension bridge spans between two valleys, with a total length of about 342 meters. Its most famous feature is the dragon-shaped sculptures at both ends of the bridge, symbolizing good fortune and prosperity. The design of the bridge combines traditional culture with modern technology, offering visitors an excellent vantage point to enjoy the magnificent mountain scenery.
From the bridge, you can overlook the valley below and the surrounding dense forests, making it a perfect spot for photography and appreciating natural landscapes. Additionally, there are many hiking trails and tourist spots near the bridge, allowing visitors to enjoy the beauty of nature while hiking. It is also a great place to capture sunrises and sunsets, attracting many photography enthusiasts.
If you plan to visit Shuanglong Suspension Bridge, it is recommended to wear comfortable shoes and be mindful of weather changes, as the weather in mountainous areas can be unpredictable. There may be more tourists on holidays, so if you want to avoid the crowds, consider visiting on weekdays.
King's Lake - Check-in Waterfall
King's Lake is not just a lake; it also has a waterfall. You can see it from a distance by taking an electric boat, and after walking for an hour in the upper lake area, you will see another waterfall. Some people say it's not worth going up because the waterfall is small and not very spectacular. But I think it's hidden in the mountains and forests, with sunlight streaming through the trees, making it a perfect spot for photos. However, if you arrive at the upper lake area after 11 AM, it's not recommended to go (the round trip to the waterfall takes more than an hour).
The Transnational Waterfall Just Around the Corner
Connected to the neighboring Ban Gioc Waterfall in Vietnam, the Detian Waterfall is the largest transnational waterfall in Asia and the fourth largest in the world. It is a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction in China. Surprisingly, this world-class waterfall is not far from Hong Kong at all.
Basically, all the spots along the scenic area are along the waterfall, so you can take good photos everywhere. Halfway through, you can choose to pay $30 for a boat ticket to take a small boat to the front of the waterfall for a closer look. The unique feature of this park is that it borders Vietnam, and you can see tourists visiting the Ban Gioc Waterfall on the other side. The park has multiple waterfalls to view, as well as many river features, including rapids and plunge pools. It feels like a field trip for geography students, leaving us in awe. Besides paying $30 to take a boat for close-up shots of the waterfall, you can also see the first, second, and third tiers of the Detian Waterfall by walking along the artificial trails. The third tier offers a full view of the waterfall, the second tier captures the rushing water (for those who like fun photos, you can take pictures that look like you're drinking the waterfall), and the viewing area allows you to photograph all the waterfalls and even capture the curtain of water effect.
Behind the waterfall, there is a Sino-Vietnamese market, but it has been closed due to recent Sino-Vietnamese relations. Finally, if you want to return to the entrance of the scenic area, you can choose to take an electric car, but we strongly recommend walking, as there are viewing areas along the way where you can capture panoramic views of the waterfall. Seeing this magnificent waterfall up close is definitely worth the ticket price.
If there's one regret about the park, it's that at the beginning of the trail, you'll be constantly approached by local vendors trying to sell you various products, which can be quite annoying.
A Spectacular Visual and Auditory Feast: Nankunshan Waterfall Tour
Nankunshan, a national AAAA-level tourist attraction, is renowned for its stunning natural scenery and magnificent waterfalls. Entering Nankunshan feels like stepping into a captivating landscape painting. Among its most striking features are the cascading waterfalls, such as the Chuanlong Waterfall, which descends in five tiers. The water rushes out from a dragon-head-shaped cave, roaring like thunder and exuding an awe-inspiring grandeur. As you stroll along the mountain paths, you encounter various breathtaking waterfalls at every turn. Some are as delicate and graceful as silk threads, while others are as vast and imposing as curtains, providing visitors with a spectacular visual and auditory feast.
The Qianlonggou Waterfall: Majestic and Breathtaking
Deep in the heart of the forest, the Qianlonggou Waterfall rises like a soaring dragon, leaving visitors in awe. The waterfall cascades down steep cliffs, shrouded in mist, resembling thousands of white dragons weaving through the air—a truly spectacular sight. Sunlight filters through the mist, creating a dazzling array of colors, making it feel like a fairyland. As you walk along the winding path beside the waterfall, every step is accompanied by the roaring sound of water, bringing a sense of tranquility and joy. Standing before the waterfall, you can feel its grandeur and magnificence, as if becoming one with nature, experiencing an unprecedented sense of cleansing and elevation of the soul. The Qianlonggou Waterfall is a natural wonder that captivates and enchants all who visit.
Nachi Taisha Grand Shrine and the Three-Story Pagoda Waterfall
Located in the mountains, it is considered the most expansive and beautiful shrine among the Kumano Sanzan, but correspondingly, it has the most challenging access. For those without a car, the journey begins with a walk from the bus stop. If you have a car, you can park closer, and the walk is fairly moderate.
The most famous photo spot here is the three-story pagoda at the back. From the platform, you can capture both the pagoda and the waterfall, which are incredibly beautiful and spectacular. The whole trip takes about 45 minutes to an hour, not including the climb.
There are mainly two shrines, one red and one wooden, giving the impression of one being new and the other old. Additionally, there's a large tree hollow nearby that you can pass through for blessings of safety, which is quite interesting.
