Korean Sliced Noodles at Daegu Seomun Market
Red Bench Traditional Sliced Noodles
Enjoy the Taste | Korean Sliced Noodles
Korean Sliced Noodles
Seomun Market Delicacies Sweet Pancakes
Delicious Sliced Noodles Next in Line
Also one of Daegu's Top Ten Delicacies
Seomun Market is quite large, stretching across
The sliced noodles form a street of their own
One stall next to another, forming a row
Finally attracted by the Red Bench stall
Red benches scattered beside the independent stall
Along with the steaming noodle stall
Auntie busy scooping noodles and preparing ingredients
Foodies casually sitting, shouting their orders
This atmosphere and scene are full of stories
But the market auntie doesn't know English
I had to observe how the locals order
Found out this stall only sells sliced noodles
Haha, that makes it much simpler
Happily went to the auntie, gestured 1 with my finger
Auntie nodded and pointed to the seating area
One person, two chairs, one as a table
The sliced noodles in water, quite good-looking
Clear soup noodles with greens, chili oil, and scallions
Sprinkled with white sesame seeds for added color and aroma
A side dish of spicy kimchi is a standard
Stirring while it's hot, served a bowl
The broth is clear and sweet, the white noodles are delicate
This bowl of sliced noodles may not be extraordinary
But like our market's plain noodles
Always a bowl of delicious, never-tiring food
Eating while experiencing the old market culture
Thinking about what to eat next
Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, Busan
This beautiful temple by the cliff is a serene and peaceful place by the sea. Haedong Yonggungsa is a famous temple in Busan and a popular spot for tourists. The view is stunning, and you can hear the sound of the waves. During the cherry blossom season, the mountains and pathways are covered in blooms, making it even more beautiful. It's also a great spot to watch the sunset. Before entering the temple, there are restaurants, souvenir shops, and parking spaces. If you visit Busan, I highly recommend coming here to pray and make a wish.
🇰🇷 Exploring Seongeup Folk Village: A Step Back in Time
#koreatrip
Seongeup Folk Village, nestled on Jeju Island, offers a glimpse into traditional Korean life with its well-preserved structures, dating back to the Joseon Dynasty. The village showcases thatched roofs, stone walls, and stone statues, reflecting the region's unique culture. Historically, Seongeup was a center of governance and culture in Jeju, with many local residents still living in the village.
We visited in the late evening, which gave us the chance to walk through the village and admire its beauty, though no performances or folk activities were happening at that time. Still, the atmosphere was rich with history and charm.

The palace of the Silla Dynasty, the East Palace where the prince lived, was also the place where banquets were held. It used to be called Anapji, but later it was renamed. The East Palace surrounds the pond, which is the renamed Wolji (the pond that reflects the moon).
As the evening gradually moves around the pond, lights illuminate the trees and the East Palace. Especially as the sky gets darker, the beauty becomes more and more beautiful. Looking at the calmness in the pond, the reflection in the water is as clear as a mirror, and the golden palace walls are illuminated. It is so beautiful. By the way, the golden east palace after lighting and the trees on the shore have a charming feeling. I think it is really smart to use lights to create a brilliant night scene~
The beautiful scenery in front of you is really recommended to come at night. It can be very cold at night in autumn and winter, so be sure to keep warm~

A Beautiful Escape: Nami Island Review
Nami Island is a peaceful retreat just an hour away from the heart of Seoul. I arrived via an intracity train, which was comfortable and efficient, taking about an hour to reach Gapyeong Station. From there, it was a short taxi ride to the ferry terminal, followed by a scenic ferry crossing to the island.
The island’s beauty is stunning, especially during autumn when the foliage transforms into vivid shades of red, orange, and yellow. Walking down the famous Metasequoia Lane felt magical, as if stepping into a postcard. There’s also plenty to do, from renting bikes to exploring artistic installations and cozy cafes offering local delicacies.
Despite being a popular tourist spot, I found it serene, particularly since I visited on a Friday morning to avoid the weekend rush. It’s the perfect destination for a leisurely stroll, some great photo opportunities, or simply to relax and connect with nature.
For anyone visiting Seoul, Nami Island is a must-see. Its charm and tranquility offer a refreshing break from the city. Highly recommended!

A Day Exploring Seoul Gyeongbokgung Palace, Bukchon Hanok Village and Cheonggyecheon Stream
During my visit to Seoul, I explored three fascinating locations that showcased the city’s rich history and vibrant culture. Gyeongbokgung Palace, with its majestic architecture and serene gardens, offered a glimpse into Korea's royal past. Unfortunately I didn’t manage to see the Changing of the Guard Ceremony. Just a short walk away, Bukchon Hanok Village provided a charming escape with its narrow alleys and traditional hanok houses, giving me a sense of old Seoul amidst the modern city. Many of the homes are still used as residences, while others have been converted into cultural centers, galleries, and tea houses. Finally, I strolled along Cheonggyecheon Stream, a peaceful urban oasis, where the flowing water and surrounding greenery created a calm contrast to the busy streets, making it the perfect spot to relax and unwind.

I took the way up Seongpanak trail and plan to go down Gwaneumsa Trail. It’s required to register online before since you need the qr code to pass the gate up there. They don’t want people to go down late.
The open time is around 7am and it took me about 4 hours to reach the peak. Weather was nice and for the most parts it was through the forest so not too hot. The view at the top was amazing and I got some sunshine. It’s quite interesting to see people enjoying ramen there. Korean brought the hot pack to cook ramen. I enjoyed my kimbab from CU store that I bought before taking the bus there.
The way down was a bit tiring but I managed to finish before 3pm. You could buy a certificate at the way out for 1000won as well.
I enjoyed the hike a lot.
