If you like a challenging hike, the Old Kotor Fort Trail from Kotor old town up to the Old Fort is for you! It’s definitely not an easy hike with almost 600 m of elevation and many steps but the views on the way up and from the top are well worth it. When you reach the top the views over Kotor Bay and Kotor town are stunning. I recommend starting early in the morning before the ticket office opens 😉. It takes about two hours to hike to the top for a moderately fit person. #getgoing2025 #mountainhike #kotor #montenegro

Kotor, situated on the south coast of Montenegro is a fortified mediaeval town and it’s truly captivating. It’s located on the southern tip of a massive beautiful bay. At the centre of Kotor is the mediaeval old town and is wonderful to wander around the old narrow streets and being immersed in the historical environment. Within easy reach of Podgorica, Lake Skadar is a must if visiting Montenegro in the Balkans. Head to the Lake Skadar Visitor Centre at Virpazar. From there you can take a fantastic boat cruise around the lake taking in the exquisite natural beauty of the area, become mesmerised by the tranquil beauty of the lake. The boat cruise includes drinks and snacks and even an opportunity to explore an old monastery located on an island in the lake. A truly enchanting place. The Balkans and Montenegro in particular are one of my favourite places to travel to. #myhiddengems Most of my monte Negro travels and trips from this part of the world revolved around nature and outdoor. So, It was natural for Durmitor National Park to be included. It offers miles and miles of hiking opportunities. I particularly remember the trail via black lake. Also, since it rained slightly during the day we went there. I thought it'd be safer to avoid peaks and slippery trails. The trails I decided on were easy and if you're new to hiking. You could very well do it. Intrestingly, even when wet, the forest and view points were perfectly enjoyable. For instance, the Tara bridge is a great way of guaging the the scale and magnitude of the gorge. You can walk out onto the bridge and see the Tara River rushing 557 ft below. There is a zip line cetera as well. Here's a tip for those who enjoy rafting, which is quite popular at the Tara River. You can spend a day on the river or join a multi-day trip, if you want to explore for longer. A group i spoke to was based in Zablajak, the nearest town. Living almost a decade in Europe means i had chance to visit not only mainstream places but also some gems in a random country This time I visited Montenegro - one of the young nation in the Balkans. Kotor - the pretty town stole my heart. Herceg Novi is a real Italian town with authentic streets which are in fact almost never restored. the medieval paved streets and a castle right in the city centre gives unforgettable ambiance and beautiful spot for photoshoot. The Tara bridge is such great place that noone can stand admiring it's beauty. it's positioned right across Tara River and if you look down it looks really high and even a bit scary. the best thing to do after wonderful shooting is having traditional lunch in one of the cafe right next to the cliff, magnificent food and same view. #happynewyear #montenegro #couplestrip #deliciousfood #happynewyear

#budva is maybe the number 1 city in #montenegro when we talk about the sunbathing, nightlife and summer vacation. It is very different than other places in the country and it offers kilometres of beaches. On the first picture you can see Yaz Beach which I think is the best one in the area. Then you can see a picture from the old town (similar ot Kotor and Dubrovnik of course), the marina and a picture with a bird eye view. #happynewyear
